The drill you cut the holes with ? Is that a special one for metal or can you use the ones for wood ? Alot of difference in cost..

The drill bits and the hole cutting bits have to be for metal but the drill is the same

Great video mate, I've still got to drill my holes for the water and electric hook up so handy to see how you did it. This solar entry plates are rubbish 👎🏻 I used a Hensel adaptable box with threaded glass entries.. soooo much better 💪🏻💪🏻😁😁 Jealous of the opening drivers side window too 🙄😅

What’s the difference between sica flex and silicone?

Hi ya, Sikaflex is the name of the brand of adhesive, they produce lots of different products including silicones, polyurethanes and butyl mastic's, but this one isn't silicone its polyurethane which essentially better for when working with vans/motorhomes etc. The chemical make up of silicone and polyurethane is different but i won't bore you with that.... basically polyurethanes work well with wood and fibreglass (when prepped correctly) but you should always get the correct sealant/adhesive for the job you are doing as they do different things. There are other alternatives to sikaflex which are cheaper and work the same however in the UK sikaflex seems to be the leading brand for many and used widely.

I’m going to be installing a diesel heater in my van soon and I’m trying to prepare for cutting a hole in the floor. I’m sure the floor is tougher than the roof or sides... will a jigsaw(with pilot holes) do the job, or do I need something else?

to be honest mate the floor is the same as the sides an roof , it just had thicker ply on it , its nothing special bud , youll breeze trough it
