That was ..... so good and you’re so brave Ruth.. actually I think it turned out pretty well considering the early learning scissors 😅. I had to cut my husbands hair, horrific is all I can say, I was sweating, no surprise with all the orders I was getting, “ make sure it’s even ! “ etc.. then I had to do my son , his neck was like a rubber band and wouldn’t keep still !!! Oh Ruth you are so funny. Funniest thing I've seen in ages haha. I'm starting to consider cutting mine to be honest because even when the hairdressers open I'm not sure how safe I'll feel going and I'm long overdue a cut. At least though because when I had a fringe I used to trim it between cuts, I do have a pair of hairdressing scissors.

My husband did mine and I ended up with the best bob I’ve ever had! Luckily I have natural waves, so it is fairly forgiving. Ten inches off and now sits on my shoulders like a dream. We did use hairdressing scissors though, lol Ruth

Ruth it works better if you brush all hair to the front in a tight ponytail, smooth down and put in another band and then another band which you pull into place to cut. That way it’s even. I’m shielded so I don’t know when I will see another hairdresser. There are good tutorials on KZbin.

Keeping a good pair of hairdresser scissors at home is always a good idea. Even if to fix small things like a fringe. And if it goes wrong, it will always grow out. I have cut my own hair for the last 15 years. Some times it turns out ok, other times good and some times not so good. I have curly hair and the hairdressers here in Sweden are like butchers when it somes to curly hair. So I find it is better to do it myself.

I was feeling the urge to do crazy things to my hair in Iso, so many videos and memes.... then I realised my hairdresser wasn't actually closed... (Australia). So my hair was saved. Point cutting is when you point the scissors upwards and snip the hair from the bottom. Rather than hacking straight across. That is how, I've always trimmed my fringe. It also makes it harder to cut heaps off at once.

It you had held the scissors straight up and sniped the ends to feather it a bit it would have looked better and could have done the front to later it a bit but all in good fun, hair grows :) I'm sure Angelica liked it. It's not that bad, a little uneven on the ends but a hairdresser will fix that right up. Your husband probably could too with a tutorial. Tip: twist the small mirror around and tip it towards a large mirror - look at the back of your head in the large mirror, not the small one, if that makes sense. If it makes you feel better this happened to me with brad mondo's tutorial - only I dyed it red too, freaked out and bleached it. Now it's in a bun XD

I put about an entire tub of Loreal Dream Lengths hair mask on mine to try and deal with split ends. The results are not perfect, but at least I don't look like I've got a haystack on my head now.

I had no idea that people find this (trimming ends) hard...when I had long hair, I trimmed my lengths very regularly, just got some scissors and slowly trimmed of the ends :D
