For all those of you who are isolated at home, you have no idea how fortunate you are. I’m stuck in a foreign country unable to get a flight home. I feel so bad for everyone who is stuck in a small flat however. Like you said, we need to count our blessings for sure.

Just keep in contact Ruth, I think now it’s a good time to share what we’re doing to keep sane. My biggest worry is for my kids (12 and 15] mostly their mental health, my daughter suffers social anxiety and so being shut away from friends is almost feeding that and I’m concerned how she’ll come out the other side and cope with going to school again especially as she will be doing her GCSE’s next year. My son is the opposite and loves being surrounded by people so he is struggling in a completely different way. I just feel a constant cloud of worry is sitting over me at the moment and I’m sure there are many of us feeling the same. KZbin is a few minutes escape from those worries. Xx

Hello from California, we are in isolation here too. Entering week three here. We’re keeping busy, doing things around the home, grateful for what we have, worried for everyone. We both have allergies so are coughing and sniffling but it’s just the usual. Trying to stay safe and positive. Too much news is anxiety inducing, audiobooks are wonderful, KZbin videos on everything from makeup, cooking, and cleaning whatever (cleaned my oven today - vinegar and baking soda really will clean everything) - music - lots of content being put out by musicians from home. Anyway, stay active, stay safe, now more than ever we are one...

I'm heartily with you on phone boundaries and curbing information overload and also choosing sources wisely. I check the news once a day, RTE here in Ireland, and that is that. I learned to do this the hard way after winding myself up with all sorts of internet horrors. I have taken myself off to Shetland with the wonderful Anne Cleeves and that is my happy place. Snoozing in the sun in my kitchen window reading one of those wonderful books.

Thank you. I feel the same way, I keep waiting for the asteroid to hit. Finished work last Monday although now our little nonessential depart has been made essential, organising volunteer shoppers for the vulnerable, which is non stop,. So trying to fit in homeschooling on top is just not working. But we’re fortunate enough to have been able to buy a chrome bk for that. Really appreciating my little garden, and thinking of those having to spend time shut in their flats. We do have a country walk next to rows terrace houses in the valleys but we’re trying to find the right time to go out. It seems everyone wants to go out at the same time. We’ll have to get up at 6. Watching my husband on video conference calls has been amusing & I have some how become the office trolly dolly & canteen lady. There’s a surprise. Loved the video, apologies for the ramble, I haven’t spoken to another adult all a wk. Apart from the husband but that doesn’t count. More of the same or it would be nice to see your garden or vlog your lovely country walks. Take care of yourselves 🧡

Lovely that you are aware of our world community and the difficulties. Gratitude is most important during this time. Wishing all is well is the best we can do. Good advice limit info coming in. I too have stayed awake reading nonsense late into the night. It is detrimental to us as humans. Yes speaking live to people on the phone is so important, even though it's the last thing I'm motivated to do for some reason. Easier to escape. Using calm apps at bed brilliant. And you Ruth are comforting and bring me laughter as well! Much love to you! Keep connecting with us, you are a lovely escape while we are stuck in a slow wash of confusion in 2020

Claire Malvern sorry that happened to you. But the danger is not the fact of going outside, it’s the close contact with others. I am prescribing myself 1 episode a day right now.

Thank you for sharing all your tips Ruth. The essential oils are better dropped into the salts and rubbed through them before you put them into the water. This will stop the oils from just sitting on the surface and also burning the skin...depending on which oils you use. Love to you all 😘

For the first few days after things got serious here (Germany) I read the news non stop and was basically attached to my mobile phone. It resulted in me barely getting any sleep and having panic attacks every morning. I've restricted myself to reading the newspaper every morning and watching the daily news broadcast every evening now. I've been coping much better since I've started doing that. Luckily, we have a "no contact order" and no full on lockdown which means I'm still allowed to go outside - I go cycling every afternoon/early evening and honestly - I've got a whole new appreciation for spending time outside. Even if it means cycling all by myself because I'm not allowed to meet anyone at the moment. Stay safe everyone - we will get through this. 💞

Hi Ruth, the coronavirus does not produce phlegm and you can have fatigue but it is the kind of fatigue that makes you unable to get OOB for 5-6 days. I retired as a ICU nurse 6 months ago, but my colleagues tell me what's happening to the critical patients that they struggling to care for. One thing they have told me is when they suction the patients through their breathing tubes ( called endotracheal tube) they are dry with no phlegm. Don't forget we can still get colds, Flu and allergies which will give a runny nose or cough. I think you should post whatever you what because KZbin has become my escape from watching the news. So please continue to post. I'd love to see what you did to the new addition you built as far as decorating. Keep sane and safe.

But I just sat down and thought to myself, it is what it is, it's safer this way...I'm getting better sleep. You're right, those of us who have a yard it's a nice escape. Even if u don't have a yard... If you have some dirt, put it in a cup and throw some seeds from your fruit or veggies in and let it grow. It will help u mentally, even just a little.

Thank you for this video. I find it strange too, I'm taking it seriously but it feel weird as we're on lockdown from something you see. I really enjoy anything beauty related but I love it when you share your stories/adventures, you're a very good and entertaining story teller ❤️ wishing well to you ad your family.

I would answer the phone if you called me :) Thank you for the book / author recommendations! I also love that time period. I’m prone to panic attacks and one thing that can be a big help to me when I’m going through one is the Apple Watch Breathe app. It gives you a visualization to focus on if you don’t want to close your eyes and you feel the haptics on your wrist to remind you that it’s time to take the next breath. When you’re done you see your heart rate, and usually it’s reduced from the pre-panic attack rate, which is comforting.

I’ve been doing some mostly unsuccessful self tanning experimenting( seems low risk since now one can see how horribly wrong it can go) Tutorial for self tanning perhaps. no make up make up tutorial, minimal effort maximum impact help us feel like there’s a reason to get out of bed....hang in there.

Well, you have Boris, but, dear heavens, I've got Trump! I am very happy to see you and know you and your family are taking care. I love when you chat...about your kids, your modeling, TV, books, trips you've taken, food...not anything fancy. I just like spending time with you. If you call I will answer!

I am so jealous of your garden right now :) I have stocked in my apartment with a small balcony, home alone... But I believe good times will come... :)) I've been doing lots of digging at the beginning, I think I am more or less aware of the situation, consequences etc., but now have limited it to minimum, constant checking the news even you stick to trusty sources like scientific papers is not good for your mental health for sure. With that being said I like bbc as well, although I don't live in UK, I also enjoy some German broadcasters even I don't live there either :) Speaking about your content - I would like to see some vlogs, as I enjoy them the most :)

Vlogs, just want to see you natter around the house being bored or doing something productive. Doesn't matter what but I find it comforting to see life just going on!
