Cutting up a JUNKYARD CAR to make WIDEBODY Fenders

Today I take a trip to the junkyard to cut quarter panels off another mustang. I'll be using these to create some custom widebody fenders for the rear of my car. I think this will achieve the exact look I'm going for and I'm really excited to get them mounted up!

Maybe swap the panels sides. Flipping them around will change the entire look. It may be easier to cut vents and stuff in the front as well if you were thinking about that. You do you cause you happy about the car is A number one. You’re starting at scratch for the most, really make it unique, make people question their own sanity when they see your custom work. I’ve had 11 mustangs total and I think what you’re doing is amazing, I never did anything as cool as what you’re doing, my hats off to you brother. Keep it coming, I dig your style for sure.

My wife and I had a silver 06 mustang and I wanted to do widened fenders and quarters. I had planned to take two additional fenders and swap them to the opposite sides to apply them after trimming them to the quarters. This way the quarter panels would have more flare out like the front.

sounds very similar to what I'm doing! I actually photoshopped exactly what you mentioned and it just wouldn't look right, all the body lines were just too mismatched.

@@Kordare well I wasnt meaning the whole fender, i understand the straightlines wouldnt line up. Mainly the wheel arch piece, I was thinking just trimming the flare part of the factory fender and molding it in. Im looking forward to see how yours turns out. Also I may have missed it in another video how wide are your tires and are you running spacers?

Can't wait to see what you come up with for these fenders! I was never a huge fan of the wheel arch styling on this generation of mustang, but I think the extra width will help the shape a lot. Your car is starting to look like a mad Max "Group 5" car, once it's finished there'll be nothing like it

I plan to cut the back a little differently, im going to cut a curved line following that fake scope to the body line. Then flatten ing the fake scoop. So it gets kind of a jet fighter intake look.
