Think it would be great for clearing some shooting lanes during deer season. I have a battery powered DeWalt chainsaw that I use around the house and it works fine. Enjoy your videos Doug, glad to see Adam giving you a helping hand.

For a 12v saw it looks like it did fairly well, I think I will stick with my 18v Makita 10" top handle saw (single battery version) for that work though, it has a really fast chain speed that just eats thru those size limbs. Good to see Neighbor Adam over to help you on one of your videos, even if he is the chap's police 😂! Have a good one!!

Doug I could limb that in half the time with a pair of Fiskars loppers $30 and used the other $170 for something worth wild!!!

How dare you go out there no fully kitted up with your chaps, helmet, ear pro, two prophylactics, bear spray, and a bulletproof vest? Don't you know you can get hurt and that anything can happen out there?

I have one (6in blade) different manufacturer and it works great. This house we purchased on an acre had 4 holly bushes spaced across the front of the house that the previous owner let grow to about 12 feet tall and kept trimmed into large balls. No leaves from the ground up to about 5 feet. They looked pretty but a pain in the #@% back to trim about 4 times a year on a ladder with a cordless hedge trimmer on a pole. The trunks 8-10 inches thick. Cut them down with 12 inch cordless chainsaw and branched them with my cordless 6 in. saw. It took 3 small pickup loads tightly compressed with ratchet straps to haul to the landfill. Both cordless saws worked great. However the 6 inch saw has a tendency to get hot a a 96 degree day.

Thanks for the review. Good review but personally I don’t think I would get much use. You still need a chainsaw to cut up the logs.

Nice review- I personally don’t see much use for it in my life. I have an Echo battery powered saw that works great. The newer battery operated chainsaws have power behind them.

Doug, I prefer a small chain saw, I like power and speed, that's just me. Only advantage is, like you said its light. Plus I hate when the batteries don't last.

Kobalt makes some decent battery powered tools. Recently bought a blower and chainsaw. Both are performing well and easy for the wife to use.

Nice review your right perfect for small jobs or getting into tight areas where a regular chain saw would be to big.

I use many of our fire access roads here in Ontario, to get back into the bush for some of our excellent camping, fishing lakes and streams. I can see this tool helping me to take care of the smaller windfalls, thanks for the heads up. Something I wouldn’t have conceded otherwise. You are right, not perfect but with care it will get the job done. And with one of those solar generators and solar panels you can recharge your batteries on-site. And quite, how good is that. Play safe from Elliot Lake, Ontario, Canada.

I had to return my Hatchet, because I thought it was too heavy for the little work it was doing. I like the Chinese saws for that stuff. My Stihl GTA 026 batteries are too anemic to get much work done.

Black and Decker used to make something called the Gator. It was pretty much idiot proof and had a guard (like gator mouth). Came in electric and battery. That design would be great with their 18v yellow tools.

It would be interresting to compare that little saw with a cordless pruner like the DeWalt DCPR320B. Aimed for similar purpose but with a different approach.

Doug, you are a funny guy. This thingy is a joke. 200 Dollar for small branches and twigs? Hope you got his thing to demo it for free. I applaud you for not wearing chaps to this toy. The chap police bolted on you at dusk.

Not a very useful tool. Although, maybe I’d use it once every 5 years to trim some big rhododendrons near the house. Nice to see the colors of fall in PA. 👍

Another version of this saw (Sakar, 20 volt, 4 inch bar, $79), did not allow sharpening! You had to throw away the chain, and buy a new one! I say: Buy a bigger battery chain saw that really cuts a true log. This thing is really a joke.
