Very nice tig work and build. I am worried about the steerer tube fatiguing at the threads while riding it due to bending loads. May want to consider changing to 1-1/8” and use MTB threadless stem, and/or support with upper bearings/longer head tube.

@@mechanicalking Congratulations to the scooter friend here in Brazil I have one made by my hands. We use a honda 7.0 hp (212cc) engine. It has incredible torque. Please email me haroldosm20@gmail.com and I will send you photos of my project. I use it to go to work and to the course, but my scooter has a structure different from yours that we call here as an original walking machine. It comes equipped with a 2 stroke 37cc engine, very weak, it can not handle climbs, I replace it with a stationary motor, question in your project already thought of putting a torque converter ...

don't get me wrong this is so cool it's frozen solid but it can't really count as DIY. I'd say more "professional with small scale manufacturing facility makes project look fantastically easier than it is"
@o0julek0o5 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't quite say so. If you have just a few tools, you can definitely do this at home. Not only that, but there has popped up a myriad of services offering things like CNCing parts using your own design files, which would help plenty here. Otherwise you don't need much more than an angle grinder, a welder and some basic tools along with a can of decent spray paint. This is definitely DIY, just not on the same level as origami or knitting.
@johnbeer49635 жыл бұрын
@@o0julek0o TIG welder, something to cut that thick af metal like a band saw, either some CNC device or the ability to farm out your CNC stuff.. sure, you can make a diy with far less tools, or even convert a preexisting scooter without even a welder... but it's not going to look like this, or be in any way time effective to make this way without the machine shop he has.... not to mention the evident high skill level. You could have some company make all the stuff sure... but then it costs a fortune to make, like, good used car money
