Nice video! I was just there recently for the first time and I enjoyed it! How’s the Spectral holding up? I have one too and it’s a fun bike
@TheDustyDutchman Жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! Cuyuna is such a cool area with something for everyone 🙌. I’m still digging my spectral a lot. It’s a workhorse, absolutely no issues, and just works well. I can’t complain

Dude, the Bobsled Trail... 👌. Also, max lens mod or 360 cam for the POV? I love the horizon lock showing how far the bike leans. This was a fun one, JT 🤘
@BIIIKES Жыл бұрын
Nevermind, I see the max lens mod at (8:40). 😋
@TheDustyDutchman Жыл бұрын
Thank you 🙏 it was fun to film too! I’ve been running the max lens for a few years now. I see the benefit to 360 but I just like the ease of use on the max lens. I totally agree on the horizon lock. I have the new max lens 2.0 now with the hero 12 that I’ll be testing out soon. 👍

Awesome. Still running the 9 and I just picked up the mod a few weeks back. Haven't mtb'd with it yet. (training for a huge gravel race), but will do soon enough. I used to run an Insta360 OneX. I wasn't thrilled with the video quality, but more so the workflow was a nightmare. Was a relief going back to a GoPro.
@TheDustyDutchman Жыл бұрын
@BIIIKES yeah that’s exactly it. The ease of use is huge. I ran a hero 9 with a max lens too, it worked great. Good luck with the race! 👍🤘

Lovely place. Pretty green nature. 3:38 That looked scary. That's lots of tech you rode there. 5:46 Elbow pads are a must IMO. I never ride without. Also I use ankle braces so the ankles are covered, also plates on the side. I use Space Brace 2. So no longer need to wear high top shoes, as the braces protect my ankles. But I need the braces to keep my feet stable. Or it could be painful as mine are sloppy, so misalignment when hiking, and riding can cause pain. I no longer have to pop them in all the time. Or risk a techy hike causing issues. I use Peal Izumi Elevate knee and elbow pads, but the elbow pads don't fit me that well, they are too big in the sleeve, despite me being within the size range for medium. But I will fold and sew it to make it narrower, but I suspect I might fit Small. They are breathable, and comfy and super light. D3O pads have plenty of vents, and it's very soft and flexy. But not crashed in them yet. But my left upper shin below the knee is problematic, so I get a rash there even with those pads, I will likely get it with any pads, as my left has more shape to it than my right. So more rubbing of the bad I guess.
