Thanks sooo much for this video! I was stuck today trying over and again to pry and bang my CV axle bottom boot out... When I saw your technique with a hammer and friggin screw driver and whamo! I got mine out! Sir? This lady would love to shake your hand!

I have a burgandy 02 4runner and I love the color of yours. I haven't (knock on wood) had to change my cv axles but if I do I will definatly refer to this video. Thanks for posting

Maybe use a small 2x4 wood block to knock the axle out? Use a rag between wood block and axle. I plan on rebuild the boots later. For now im going to use a Cardone axle from Amazon, has good reviews from 4runner owners. Can be a spare once i get mine fixed.
