Hi. Thanks for watching. We bought them on Amazon. Mini tension rods. 7”-12” but they come in different sizes. They are adjustable so you just need to measure the gap and choose the correct size. Really happy with ours 👍😊

You have the same things as us only we don't have lithium batteries. We have a B2B charger, an MPPT solar controller, extra USB's and Karl also fitted the deadlocks to the cab doors too. Plus our 400w of solar that we couldn't do without with the off gridding we do.

That much Solar must be great for you guys. I am ok with the electrical side of things but not comfortable with the deadlocks. I think Karl’s background is perfect fir your van living. Seems to turn his hand to most things. Like him I tend to burn sausages on the BBQ but that’s how I like them. Really enjoying following you. Was amazed you edit it all on your phone. 👏. G, you are very clever, I would love the inverter and the DC to DC charger and the lithium. All I have done is fit LED headlight bulbs, fantastic difference.

Hi Graham, I've watched your modification vlogs as well as Rick & Ian's whilst waiting for my CV to arrive later this year. I like the hook deadlocks on the doors and think they will be an addition I would like to make Can I ask what make your locks are and how you chose the company to supply and fit. I've spoken to a couple of fitters near me and haven't been overly impressed. Thanks Karl

I'm curious to know what you use to power the fridge lights heater etc in my current van set up to go off grid I would need to run my fridge on gas (not feasible as we also cook with gas and our bottles are small 3.7kg I think) our heating and hot water would also need to be run on gas. Which is the best way to run these things?

Hi George, we power our van with 2x 120amp hours Lithium batteries. We have a 120w solar panel. Fridge is all electric. Gas is LPG and the tank is under the van. (Approx 18 ltrs usable LPG). Our B to B charges the batteries when driving if there is no solar. Our hot water is gas or electric as is the heating. This setup works for us.

Please replace the circuit breakers with midi fuses they are so dangerous . They trip at about 3to 4 times the rated trip on the breaker look on u tube for clarification.

That’s interesting David. My own findings are different. I have found they trip a little to early. I had to upgrade at least one to stop it unnecessarily operating. I went for circuit breakers so I could isolate easier. I will review what I have done. Problem with KZbin is I will find as many reviews in favour of circuit breakers as I find against it. Suprised you didn't get any usb ports but I am going to fit some more to mine exactly the same. Handy for charging my phone when I'm in bed. I have also changed to a pair of lithium batteries but had the dealer do it. Don't have your knowledge and will only attempt easy mods myself.

Yeah. Not one USB except in the Fiat Cab. No doubt you are pleased with the batteries. Nice not having to worry about batteries so much

Hi Peter. Yes I had all doors done. By a private contractor. Cost me about £570 incl vat and fitting. Will try snd get you their name if you want it. 👍

Hi graham , thanks for replying , did you have the barrel that you can't turn with grips to break in on the drivers door or just the claw type , we live in Kent don't know if your fitter would travel that far but yes please I can always give him a call , you never know , thanks Pete

@@petepoole4402 not sure about the barrel but there isn’t anything for the grips to grab hold of. Will get the name of the company for you.
