I shoot this same bullet with a 30:1 lead tin ratio sized .459 in my 45-70 and 65 grains of Swiss 2F rolling block I built back in 1995. Excellent accuracy. I sized them to .452 and used a Harvester HP Sabot in my TC 209-50 magnum muzzleloader over 84 grains by weight of 2F Triple 7. All bullets weighed without lube and one hole at 50 yards and 1.3” average at 100 yards. Velocities ran 1635 on a five shot string. These are a historically “close” replica of the Trapdoor carbine loads of 55 grains of some type of black powder. Great video and I agree… you know exactly when the firing pin or hammer hits the primer or cap. They hit hard on both ends.

@@SuperSneakySteve you are welcome and thank you for sharing. It is “unusual” for me to shoot inlines or modern projectiles in them. I have been hunting with muzzle loaders since I was 16 and I am 64 now. I build custom flintlocks and use only black powder and patched round ball… I bought my Encore in 1999 and never fired it until a month ago. I want to use it this year for deer and hogs.
