I’ve got the original cascade in 450 but it shoots same hole groups at 100 yds with Winchester deer season xp and my 308 axis likes that ammo as well. It must be a pretty consistent ammo for factory loads. Maybe try some of that in the future see if your gun likes it as well. Thanks for the videos!

Hornady's Whitetail 129gr shoots excellent in my 6.5 Creedmoor grouping size .75" and under five (5) rounds, it has a Match grade barrel.

Sold my Ruger American 350 legend Go Wild edition and ordered the CVA Cascade XT 350. Hopefully it was the right choice. I have the exact same Ruger in 6.5. Great guns just want the CVA.

I really appreciate you watching! That’s a tough call for sure, especially now that the XT had the same bonus features as the Wilderneds Ridge. For me, I LOVE them both but prefer the CVA because of the adjustable LOP and the flush mount magazine.

I own the cva in 6.5 and it did not like the fusion or hornady whitetail but it loved the hornady outfitter.

My CVA 308 and 6.5 love Norma Whitetail. I will be honest, I have never had a rifle that liked the Hornady American. Reloading now and working up a load for the 130 grain Sierra Tipped Gameking for the 6.5. Fingers crossed.

I really like the CVA rifles... They shoot great and they are smooth. Federal and Norma ammo has always shot great for me. I have never had luck with Hornaday...

NORMA factory ammunition has always been GTG IMHO…from the only available ammo for 7MM Mauser hunting ammo back in the 1970s till now and I still trust it in .308 today for anything factory…(plus their brass is 100% tops for my hand loads)…y’all’s channel rocks, thank you 👍🫶🏻👍🫶🏻👍🫶🏻…your “next door neighbor” from Tennessee 😊😊😊

I've had the same issue with Hornady Whitetail in 6.5 CM. Grouping is way less consistent. I mostly use Winchester 125gr open tips for long distance stuff but need a consistent a separate hunting cartridge. Any suggestions appreciated.

I absolutely love norma. I had similar results in my Axis 30-06. I will only hunt with the norma whitetail round. The rest is good for punching paper

Just seen this today ! Great group with last ammo ! Is your rear sling stud still in the stock ? I see the front one is just behind the front rest. So that’s good. Just saying I’ve been around people who come to my range and their sling studs have been a culprit. But looks like you have winner.

Just bought a CVA XT in .300 win mag. I have not shot it yet but have Winchester Power Point and Federal Soft Point ammo. Maybe I should look for a box of that Norma Ammo.

Hellur!!! Good shootin. Question? Have you, or are you going to do a review on padded cheek risers for your new rifle? Hate that you have to buy a higher end rifle to get an adjustable stock. We have to resort to putting add ons to make the rifle fit our setup, but here we are. Maybe it would be a video idea for you.

I totally agree, Savage at least started doing the accufit stocks to allow for some adjustments, gun companies quit putting iron sights on rifles and still use a stock that doesn't allow for a proper cheek weld.

I was going to buy that same rifle in 6.5 PRC but I bought a Veil Tac in 308 instead because I was running low on 308’s. The darn thing showed up with a seriously bent stock. I emailed their warranty folks then they sent me a new stock right away but I was really disappointed that they let my rifle out of the factory with such an obvious defect. Now I am not sure if I want another Cascade. Might go with the Bergara instead.

So I was going to weigh them and then realized the scopes would make a difference. From what searching I did, it seems like the XT may be like 2 oz heavier. So pretty negligible.

you are a brass catcher,,, how well does it eject,,, are we talking just barely out of the action or does it toss them a couple feet,,,,,,,,,,,, how it ejects is just as important as how it shoots

@@ReviewThisThing and what do you consider great , 6 inches 1 foot 2 feet,,, for me I don't care about the old brass so if it doesn't toss it at least 2 feet I don't want it,, pick up any Mauser action rifle or a older Remington 700 bdl,,, and 4 to 6 feet is the minimum they toss brass,,,,,,,,, I have made the mistake of buying a few of the cheap rifles very weak ejectors, the spent brass bumps the scope and can and will fall back into the breech,,,, I won't even look at most of these rifles anymore_

Have a CVA XT in 6.5 PRC. Accurate gun. Mags are complete junk. Nothing but issues even replacements from CVA. Round actually pop out of the mag when feeding. Spend a few more dollars and buy yourself a TIKKA.

I grabbed a box of the Hornady Whitetail in 7mm-08..I weighed every cartridge in the box and the lowest was 348.2 grains and the heaviest was 356.1 grains. That's a difference of 8.1 grains IN THE SAME BOX. Now, I don't know if the difference comes from the bullet? The casing? Or the powder BUT you'd be a fool not to assume the powder is a contributing factor, 3,4,5 grains of powder makes a HUGE difference in a bullets trajectory.
