Imo they were completely underutilized during their run in AEW compared to their time in TNA. Yeah the Inner Circle was fine but the fact that they never captured the tag titles after their first couple of years irks me. The thing was they were getting a lot of T.V. time, whether it was a part of the inner circle or with Kingston, I think the issue as he said which I can see both sides he wanted more for not just himself but them as a team which like you said is understandable but also Ortiz was comfortable getting T.V. time and having a paycheck, which is also understandable.
