I first heard this guy in the pilot episode of Over The Garden Wall and thought he was a 60-something black man from Louisiana. Imagine my surprise when I found out he was a 30-something white guy from Australia.

I saw CW win over a completely hostile crowd at the Gympie Muster a few years back. The crowd was so antagonistic my band (waiting back stage) were getting ready to get festival security involved. CeeDub didn't bat an eyelid; just keep at 'em until they shut the hell up and listened. His performance was heroic in some senses; certainly brave and for me and my band ... inspiring. I still get goosebumps thinking about what I witnessed. Sensational!

From firmament to fall, kept completely, enraptured by stone king, the web he weaves through sung word and string. Thank you, kindly, for sharing your passing tale. Does he record through old equipment to get that sound, if you happen to know? I always wanted to try that, and; upon his recent discovery, by me, i see he saw sound that way, beat me too it, by at least two years, and a day.

For anybody that as douting about the fact that this man is for real , sat around the table met him in person yesterday ,and there is much more then a gutfeeling about this man ,just listening to his music ,the serenity that surrounds him , When he was talking at the gig there was 1400 people and you could hear a pin drop..... I can only say ...this man is for real. Mister CW you got a believer.

I cant believe Ive not heard of this him before a week ago. ... actually, if you listen to SNZ's "Hell" and CW Stoneking's "The love me or die", the melody is quite similar. I often find myself singing the lyrics of one with the music of the other and viceversa.... and then I need to listen to Tom Waits' "Little drop of poison". And this one (Jungle blues) needs to be listened next to SNZ's "Ghost of Stephen Foster". These artists just go great together!
