Always chamfer prior to tapping into thick stock,..it makes it easier to tap and engage your fastener.....says a machinist! Great job!!

Honestly I came across you Channel by accident. It's now my favourite. Loving your skills and details. Im in the middle of a cafe build and love the fact that you're fabricating your own parts. Massive thumbs up!

Many thanks Wacker, I really like trying to make as much as possible with my small amount of real equipment. I hope to inspire others to at least try to do the same with their projects.

I use a Samsung a71 phone to film on my channel (church channel) with a Boya cordless mic that plugs directly into the phone. It has a 164 foot rang. I get superb sound quality at all times. Love your channel. I had a CX500 bike around 25 years ago but now just bought a CX500 custom trike. And found your awesome channel and subscribed.

Your wielding skills have really gotten so much better sense you got the new wielder, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Oh man that TIG has been life changing for me. Id been trying to get one for so long and kept having to push it off. Having the ability to weld multiple types of metal is a blessing. Thank you

Great job on fitting the rearsets and fabricating the brackets. I'd be a bit concerned about the MC being too exposed. How about adding 2 more fixing points the same as the ones that hold the MC in place to accommodate heel plates and hide the MC behind the heel plate? Thanks for sharing your work.
@BrickHouseBuilds4 жыл бұрын
With the angle of the MC its not really where your heel is. I like to expose a lot of the mechanical stuff especially on these bikes just per my own preference. Heel plates look good but they very likely wont make it on this bike.

I have a small cordless drill I use to tap, try it, it's worked real good for me over the years. You have a very good grasp of different metals that I had to go to school for that. Do you ever oxidize your steal black? I've recently watch a guy do it in his garage, it looks easy and stops your parts from rusting.

I havent done any plating but soon enough im sure it will be something I do. There are platers near me I can use which is convenient

Nice one bud. Just wondering how you prevent the plunger coming out of the MC if the footpeg is lifted up? Is there a positive stop or something that prevents this? Cheers.
@BrickHouseBuilds4 жыл бұрын
Good catch! I'm working on that currently but didn't want to clutter up the video more than necessary. It will definitely have a safety stop/catch of some sort

@@BrickHouseBuilds Ah cool, I have a very similar project on the go and we are at a similar stage. I am yet to fit the rear MC and have a couple of units I am playing with. I have the same as you as well as an R6 MC, the mounting points differ slightly on the R6 MC but the plunger is captive which simplifies things. Enjoying following the build, keep up the good work.

It is a Klutch brand from Northern Tool supply. Has proven to be one of my most used tools after I added a platform to use it in vertical form.
