Appreciate the tip about the paint. I have always been slightly uncertain about this and found that the paint is really sensitive to fuel spills for example until the bike has really run up to temperature on the road.

Yeah I know that feeling well. It gets addicting lol. I just fired up my air cooled VW build a while back after completely tearing it down and making it an 1835cc dual carb. It never gets old. Freaking awesome job. It does sound mean as hell too.

What a gorgeous build. I've been following this build since early on and am really impressed with the attention to detail. I'm glad you share all the consideration and explaining of the component selections and build choices, because it's applicable to loads of projects. It's gotta feel great to hear it finally run. :) Bravo!

Thanks Robert, it definitely felt good to say the least! My goal with the channel is definitely to help illuminate how to do these things the right way and part of that is to explain as much as possible.

@@BrickHouseBuilds It's inspirational work. I love doing this stuff as well, but I get discouraged way too easily. I like to recharge by looking at how others build and style their projects. You set a great example of thorough workmanship. Thanks and keep up the good work!

What kind of gauge cluster is that, and how difficult was it to wire up? I just recently bought a CX cafe-style bike, that used a CX500 Turbo frame and a CX650 engine, and the only gauge on it is the tach. I'd like to also have something that shows the speed, along with trip meter. Thanks!
@BrickHouseBuilds4 жыл бұрын
I actually made a few videos on exactly that. Check out my wiring fundamentals video from a few weeks back along with the latest wiring video just before this one. Those will absolutely answer your questions as well as give you links to everything used. I always link parts in the description when I talk about them. Cheers

how do you think that Competition Werks muffler would work for a CB350?
@BrickHouseBuilds3 жыл бұрын
Hmm, on a lower compression parallel twin im not sure it would sound good. I love cone engineering mufflers and use them often. Go to my super old videos on here and look for the cb360 "tuna" for a sound clip.

Hi there from Israel my name is Marcus my son has bought a 79 cx 500 and through watching all your videos at least twice . i have been motor bike mechanic for slightly over 35 years ,so we are really enjoying this project i have tried a couple of rear shocks that were not good I didnt even know from which bikes they were from . wanted to ask you which rear shocks would you say that would fit the weight and ride height of the bike also which shock from which bike did you use ?. Thanks very much if you can help us . yours Marcus and Jonatan
@BrickHouseBuilds4 жыл бұрын
Hey Marcus, thats for watching. This is a Ducati 900ss shock. It is too soft to use stock but I have a stiffer spring on it. I explain all of this in my video "remounting the rear shock"
