Hi there. I’ve just bought the CXN V2, CXA61 amp and SX-80 floor standing speakers. I have yet to open the boxes, as I’m currently doing a room up first. However, I have heard that these units do not come with any cables. My question is: What cables to I need to buy, and what is the best way to link the units for optimal sound?

What are the best wire speakers connectors for bi-wiring my speakers to my CXA80? I will use 12 or 14 awg over 8 feet for each wire. Thanks!

Can I adjust the bass and treble from the remote control. If not why not and is does this matter? I hate getting up to change the bass and treble all the time esp when watching You Tube. Thanks

i have the cxa60 with cxc transport connected to monitor audio bronze 6es biwired using qed silver anniversary speaker cable .with a chord coaxial digital cable .. some cds sound really naff . yet other older cds sound great . iv ordered a qed reference coaxial digital cable ... is this the best way to connect the two ynits ???.

Yes, both amps have bass and treble controls. I have the CXA80 and almost always use bypass mode. The amp sounds good enough that you very rarely ever need to touch the tone controls.

@@Diatonic5th Can you control the bass and treble from the remote control? If no why not and does it matter I hate adjusting the bass and treble all the time getting up to do this esp when watching you tube that has diff quality video and audio on it

@@craiglawson7582 No. Unfortunately, you can't adjust the tone controls from the remote. There are two tiny buttons on the amp that pop out for adjusting the treble and bass. I agree, it would be great if they had that feature on the remote.

Hello, does the Cambridge Audio CXA80 have bass management?

integrated amplifiers don't have bass management. They send full range to the speakers no matter what. Doesn't matter if you have a sub connected or not; which seems like a flaw to me. This stresses the amplifier and the speaker more... I'm not a sound engineer though.

@@johnhoof Nope. Technically, the unit adjusts the crossovers to increase treble headroom. Bass is not really changed.
