This is James, and today I have a beautiful clip for you! This long green filament is actually a composition of hundreds of cyanobacterium cells, and the filaments are able to move by gliding. They move to find a better spot for photosynthesis, but no one knows the exact mechanism of this weird motion. . Tiny transparent cells are algae, Chilomonas and they are attracted to the oxygen that the cyanobacteria generate, because of all the biological activities on the slide, oxygen concentration gets low pretty quickly. . What do you think about my Microscopic Journal entries? One long video for each day! . And don't forget to check my campaign for the DIC microscope, thank you! www.gofundme.com/f/qcv6qm-help-me-get-that-dic

Good day to you sir. What type of microscope do u recommend to see germs? I have a thousand times USB microscope it's cheap but I enjoy the micro world😁.

Trichome is not a colony! Trichome is an organism, colony is made of many trichomes together

@W S cyanobacteria are not algae, and they move usually by gliding, which combines using type 4 pili and reactive motion by extinguishing polysaccharide from the cell.

Amazing how they move constantly almost without resting

3dplanet100: walking and tours videos yes! Actually single-celled organisms are active constantly!

They can sense their low O² levels and ... sense and then track down a high O² concentration ... Mind blown.... to bits...

Where are they? In our bodies Would be nice to see a bit of context and respect for all creatures

Looks like a slow moving conveyor belt in the middle.

My poor cyano-friend! They just don't leave you alone, do they? I know how hard it is, tried to separate cyanobacteria from heterotrophs and other organisms in the lab for a long time
