Anyone who is even remotely close to anti woke or the woke culture in games needs to just leave and go complain somewhere else. People don’t understand that GTA is not meant to be taken seriously. It’s a parody of real life. Not the actual thing. And judging game purely on the fact whether it’s woke or not is a good telling of your character as a person in general. One of the farthest left or right ideals need to stay out of games, besides those that meant to be told in such ways, there’s plenty of “woke games” that do have a big emphasis on its more cultured nature and it’s not for everyone. Not every game is for everyone, nor should it be. But shoehorning in woke or anti woke messaging into a game series just for the sake of it isn’t how it should be nor do I think that’s what GTA 6 or big titles like it are doing. AndyPants is just a big talker and grifter at the end of the day. After he sat down the TheActMan and had a “discussion” (more like he got shit talked for 45 mins because he can’t form a good argument for himself) he was apart of the who Xbox Fanboy club absolutely dogging on anything that wasn’t Xbox and then when that died down he swapped to being “anti woke” I don’t take anything he says seriously because he’s just saying it for the views. @ I’ve never played assassin’s creed but as long as the writing and the gameplay is good it should be ok imo. I’ve seen a lot of people say that it’s historically inaccurate (Idk if it is or not so I’m not even gonna get there) but I’m pretty sure the series have always been historically inaccurate. So I don’t really see an issue either way. If people don’t want to buy it that’s well within their right but I think we should allow writers to write whatever they want. If they support freedom of speech it should be applied to everyone.

The dumbest thing is, Rockstar was never that "edgy". They make fun of everything but not in a crass manner like the old Saints Row. That's the beauty of it, the subtlety of their satire. GTA was never about that. They moved GTA3 because of 911, they removed the Haitian gang stuff because of the protests, they removed hot coffee... the list goes on. None of that stopped GTA games and Red Dead games being amazing.

There’s a chance it might not be the same, but I’m sure, and hoping, that guy was completely wrong. They might tone it down but I seriously doubt it’ll be “woke.” Rdr2 handled being somewhat politically correct excellently. When it starts to feel like an agenda is being pushed that’s when it feels “woke.” If every main character is made to be bisexual at a certain point it feels forced, given how uncommon it is for people to be such. Bottom line it has to feel natural, and the narrative certainly shouldn’t take a dive because of implementing people of color or gay people. So many games have done this just fine.

Did you took a closer look at the large ad in the background in the trailer where Jason is driving a car? It looks like normal R* humor which didn't even showed in the leaked gameplay footage as my guess was made in a far later stage of development (because that's polishing). I’m actually really happy you cover this. I watched his video yesterday and there were some things that generally pissed me off. He made one comment saying being gay is gross. There’s nothing wrong with being gay. RDR2 by definition is woke. Being woke just means you acknowledge social injustice. I believe Rockstar is exploiting the GTA 6 controversy on purpose because it gets people talking about the game. For GTA 1, there was controversy before release, however Rockstar, specifically Max Clifford, manufactured controversy and exploited it in order for the game to receive what was essentially free advertisement. This is why I do not look at game videos with opinions or hypotheticals, I wait for pre-order time and then start checking out what the offical store has available on it or i would ask friends who played it. Many people are saying Dragon Age The Veilguard for example is woke. It isn't, that there is a lot of pandering. But that would be very wrong, it's very minimum to quite literally one character and a codex entry which seems more like they just want to be inclusive. I don't agree that political issues should be in games to begin with or should be used to limit a games potential but on the other side i don't mind it being mentioned or a character being that way many games have done so with no issue. For example making a samurai in the era of samurai being trans. Unrealistic and historically inaccurate, therefore, it has no place. I will see what GTA6 is like when it becomes pre-order time. I would say that some of these developers aside from Rockstar games, they need to come up with something else rather than that guy just saying that GTA is woke because of gender issues like it's not true.
