he is a ceo of a multibilion dollar company he will surely hype the product they are offering even if it is not as "beautiful" and"amazing " it really is.... people should temper their expectations they will surely see almost like rdr 2 level of simulation uplift but not like gta 4 like total experience overhaul........ probably we will see that in gta 7 or or rdr 3 where ai is almost real like those ai agents demo that run on ml capable hardware or gpu..... and increased simulation level in general be it physics(we already peaked out), AI , graphics(might be 100 percent pathtraced, like glass renderning , water caustics, and might even volutmetric fogs would be pathtraced....)

The interview kinda opened my eyes to how Strauss runs Take 2 and Rockstar itself. He’s smart and knows what he’s doing, without being overly corporate or cocky about it. I respect that he went out and did this interview because his insight on how they want/are using AI advancements for is what people should want to come from AI. Not making AI art for rewards in game (Call of Duty). But instead taking AI and using it in systems that were already setup like procedural generation and using AI to further those changes. Leaving the devs to do stuff that can have a creative spin: art, textures, dialogue, etc. He’s got it down pat that they don’t need to force AI into each part of their games but just tone down on tasks that can be/already automated and further to automate and refine those systems. GTA 6 will be a phenomenon, likely only topped by the next GTA game. But it won’t be for the reasons we are speculating now, I guarantee that.

To be honest never was expecting GTA 6 online to come out with the story mode. Personally I think it will be beneficial if they release it at a later date (if they are already developing the multiplayer) because it gives them more time to improve and add content that we wouldn't have had if it came out day 1. Also like you said it lets everyone enjoy the the story mode which i think initially is what they want you to focus on and then you can have the hype of GTA online a few weeks or a month later.

I definitely do think that the point he made about looking towards the future is very important. It’s easy for all of us speculating about the game to fall into the trap of only looking backwards at the previous games, but I think it’s pretty clear that doing something new and fresh is a top priority for them. What that will be specifically is hard to say, but i suspect that the world itself will change more as you’re playing the game. things like the “make it rain mondays” sign in the trailer signaling the idea of different events on different days of the week, or in game social media posts actually occurring throughout your playtime. Even things like hurricanes could be done this way.

Alright, this was dope & reassuring Strauss “cameo” interview but has anyone thought that Stauss could play as Reed Richards in a Fantastic Four movie . Just me? Also with rockstar they are great at building characters that people get behind like Trevor, Michael and Franklin. It doesn’t end there either in all titles it’s the same like rdr and even the side characters are loved. Even in gta online people like Pavel etc. they have this way of building great characters every game and barely need cameos from old characters sorta like how cod needed woods back in bo6. Obviously it’s cool to have a nostalgic character make a return but a game shouldn’t be played based on one character returning and rockstar are great at this.

It was durning summer of this year (2024). I don’t remember if was website or if was KZbin video. Unless something has changed in last few months as we near end of 2024. So we can't use gta 5 as history. Atleast not how they released it. If they released it knowing how much money they were going to make they would have put a pricey anti cheat into that game and ways to update easier.

I think people need to hop off of R*'s back a little about the second trailer. The only thing that should matter should be the quality of the content and the innovations they make, not really how quick it gets shoved out. I'm prepared to wait years for it, because I would rather have a fully fleshed out and enjoyable end product than another studio apology statement and a half baked game. Let them cook for as long as they need to because itll be good in the end.
