I don’t care if a bunch of people are going to screech at me for saying this: the most effective way to stop being bullied is, and will always be, to hit the bully back. Even if it means getting into a fight and potentially losing, getting into trouble and being lectured about the matter, it’ll at least show the bully that you won’t take shit from others.

If its something as minute and trivial as mere name-calling, then the best thing for the victim to do would just to get a thicker skin, because ultimately they’re only words, and words can only have as much power & effect as one makes them out to have.
