You'd be amazed at how much fun the full auto gas blow back airsoft ones are! Fully functional everything and pretty accurate internals too! All metal, steel in many cases and real wood furniture if that's your thing, crazy amount of accessories as well.

Siiiigh, like I need the temptation! I really really do want SOMETHING full auto, but the noise levels concern me. Maybe now that people are going back to the office it'll be better during weekdays, hmm...

@@MyAirgunPhase I'm in a terraced house with paper thin walls so I know the problem, my solution is not to do it too often and use a working suppressor, you'd be surprised how well the foam lined 'mock' suppressors actually work on GBB's!

Growing up in South Africa I remember seeing so many AK-47's around, when I went to get my ID photos taken, when someone offered to look after your car when you went shopping, good times. I remember hearing about how easy and cheap it was to obtain one, but laws aside, I've never been interested in causing harm to any living thing, and this is hardly a target rifle, so it's great to have a BB version to mess around with. I almost got the Crosman AK1, the full auto is tempting, but apartment living is restricted living, oh well.

@@Zez242 I don't have an AK1, so I really don't have a valid opinion, sorry! PERSONALLY, I like this AK-74 because it feels more like the real thing, BUT it is only single shot, and not very polished. From all the reviews I've seen about the Crosman AK1, people love the fully automatic nature of it, and it seems to be very accurate, especially for a full-auto BB gun. So it depends if you want that older "realistic" feel of the 74, or the fun and accuracy of the AK1. But again, this is simply what I've seen.

@@MyAirgunPhase I have both and after some time I put AK1 into the box and leave AK74 ready. AK1 is not so realistic-much more like a toy with CO2 horrible consumption! This AK74 even is more powerful and accurate than AK47(Tipe56) from the same Cybergun. But Tipe56 is more close to the original due to steel parts. By the way Cybergun made a mistake: magazine in AK74 looks like from AK47!

I just purchased the all black version of this rifle. However I can NOT get it to fire. I put the Co2 cartridge in and loaded the 18 steel BBs per the instructions .The safety was off and the interior action seems to be functioning okay but there's no noise and no BB getting fired. I checked that there was gas in t he cartridge and it did hiss when I backed of the cartridge tightening screw just a bit then immediately tightened it again. Any idea as to what may be wrong? Possibly a defective magazine?

Oh man, that sucks, I'm sorry. Fortunately it's one of the simplest mechanisms around, it's really just a thunk of metal inside the gun that moves forward and whacks against the valve. So two things you could check are: 1. with the top off the gun and the magazine removed, pull the internal hammer back and see if it releases when you pull the trigger 2. with the magazine out of the gun (and BBs removed!), try tapping the valve and see if gas comes out That should help narrow down what the culprit is. If both of those are fine, then the only remaining thing I can think of is that they're not aligned when the magazine is in the gun. Then you could put the magazine back in the gun (gassed, no BBs) and with the top off, try the action and see what happens. Good luck!

@@MyAirgunPhase Thanks for your advice. Unfortunately none of it got this rifle to function. Therefore I'm going to box it up and send it back although the shipping to do so will be about $55.00 = OUCH! The store I bought it from is going to troubleshoot it.

@@MyAirgunPhase Well, I was able to hand deliver the rifle to the store I bought it from and they examined it and wow the fix was so simple! Once the magazine is installed you have to pull the magazine release towards the trigger guard to lock the magazine in place. Doing that and t he rifle works fine. Whilst I was at the store I bought a spare magazine and a genuine AK bayonet that fits the rifle. The bayonet came complete with the scabbard and attachment to fasten the scabbard ti a belt.
