Thank you so much for posting this. My clk lighter wouldn't work and I had been through all the fuses, relays. etc. That quick little wrist flip where I could get to the back of the lighter showed me that my problem was someone had been in there and routed a wire wrong and it was totally disconnected. Moved the wire over and it's all good now. Thanks again.

What tool is needed to remove the nut by the cigarette lighter? I was able to remove everything else up until this point… I have credit cards and drivers license trapped under the sliding door 🤦🏾‍♀️

First of all, I love this guy: no bs, no hit my like button, just set up the camera and watch me take it apart. Thank you! Now, as for Mercedes, WTF, you designed the sliding door to perfectly steal credit cards placed on it! Put my card there for just a second before approaching a drive thru, hit the brakes, and voila card is gone! Nice disappearing trick! Now, I gotta spend two frigging hours pulling the entire center console out? IF I have any of those torx wrenches (don't think so, will have to borrow my neighbor's). Yeah took this guy ten minutes, but the vid was edited while he got other tools and he obviously knows his way around cars. LOL, I'll be braking sht and losing sht and swearing the whole time!

lol. Not to worry. I was doing the same thing first time I took it apart, cussing and lightly pulling on things to figure out how it came apart. Because I couldn’t find any good videos. Glad to hear it’s going to help you get your CC back. 👍🏻

Hey so I'm trying to just replace the compartment door thing for a 2010 glk350. I'm assuming its going to be relatively similar. Do you know if it is simply held by four screws? I'm assuming I can skip some of the first steps and just need to get in there. Is that correct? Thanks!!

I have to replace my rear console vent - is all of this required to remove that or can I remove just the rear console without taking the centre console parts off to access??

Sharpeye 1217 I would think that Mercedes sells just the arm rest portion, as it is easy enough to remove on its own. Not sure what the cost would be. But probably not cheap.

AlterdA4 Dealer is telling me that instead of selling the cover they want to sell me the whole unit for 700.00 instead of selling just the cover which would be easy to replace
