@@Motorsportsgeek I find amazing that Americans in general bash the Germans, but when I watch Autobahn videos, I rarely see a car on the road that isn't German, and all of them seem to be in top shape. America has a very particular way to deal with cars, that can't be replicated anywhere in the world, not even in rich countries. They don't care with maintenance, and discard cars for very minor reasons. Just take a look at their auction sites, you would see cars with very minor collisions for auction, something that would be easily repaired anywhere in the world.

As others have already pointed out, the mileage „scam“ at the 3:05 Minute marker is nothing but the US mileage on the odometer measured in kilometers by the vehicle‘s ecu. European cars in general do all their internal accounting in kms not miles. This is true for BMWs, Mercedes, Audi etc. Stuff like this is exactly why I rarely watch Scotty Kilmer. There are so many less hyped up, more realistic car KZbinrs out there.

In Europe these cars are considered as million mile cars. Yes they do have alot of the fancy electronics but they do go million miles just like the Toyotas here in the US. The BIGGEST difference is YOU HAVE TO MAINTAIN European cars. Mercs, bmws they all the same.. In America people just turn the key and drive the car. Never check the oil, never do the preventative maintenance and check ups.. Toyotas, sure, they do run like work horses and drive like one too and build like one...heck, dont even open the hood and check nothing for a year you'll be ok... You can't do that with European cars. They are mechanical masterpieces. Power and luxury... It comes with a price.. MAINTAIN IT REGULARLY.. Then they will go million mile... "Used merc. Rubbers are crack, hoeses are cracked.. Dont buy...".. NO! dont wait until they crack. Its rubber, and silicon.. They are not supposed to last forever... Check them regularly. When the manual says change at 15000 miles dont wait until it cracks and then causes many other related issues... I have been fallowing your channel for a while now bossman but I do not agree with your "these are money pits" opinion.. Also, I would like to know what do you think the "rattling" issue is in the engine? There are no codes but you say engine has problems???? How did you know? For that high rpm that you pushed it, I think the rattling is from the engine mounts... They do go bad. They are rubber. Please advise.. I really like to know what do you think the problem is? Thank you.
