@@equanimity5057 I don't know, what mistake I could've made.. but not a single Mod works. Enabled them, did everything exactly as described, but.. nothing. First tried it with Epic Games and Vortex.. Buggy as hell, so I deinstalled everything and tried it like described.. but nope. Then got it in gog, and again.. nope. I don't know, what else to try.

For anyone having issues with CYBER ENGINE TWEAKS showing "error resolving hash" make sure you download the version of CET which matches your game version. EDIT: The same applies for RED4ext. If you have a higher version it will show an error. Another thing to keep in mind, every mod which uses RED4ext, download its version accurate to your game aswell or else RED4ext will implode.

Agreed. I tried using the vortex mod manager for many of the basic tools like Codeware. Well, it bricked my game and I had to do a fresh install since I couldn't figure out everything those tools altered. This guide worked a treat though.

Bro i don't usually comment on youtube but for you MY MAN YOU ARE THE FUCKING BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you have no idea how much i have searched for a proper tutorial on how to properly install mods, yeah it's easy as hell but my problem was that i did not have all the frameworks i needed and i jumped straight to the mods , i i eventually became really frustrated as hell, but then lord jesus shed a tear of light and dropped me your 40 minute god like of a tutorial and i thank you a lot for this. hopefully this tutorial gets the recognition it deserves.

So are all of these framework mods necessary for _every_ mod, or is it just a good jumping-off point for modding in general? I'm looking at downloading the "HARDCORE22V2 COMPLETE" realistic combat overhaul, Night City Alive, and NCPD Prevention Police Enhancement, which appear to only require TweakXL, RED4ext, and I assume Redmod. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Glad the video was informative. So far everything in this video is compatible, but best thing if you have space, backup your game directory and saves and go wild. Even if you break something its a learning process. I broke my entire game countless times trying out different mods or pilling them on top of each other.

​@LastKnownMeal There is a really handy mod that runs a program and purges all mods from your directory. You just run the verify files via Steam or GOG after running the program. You have a clean install again. I've used it twice and it has worked like a charm on both occasions.

New to owning a pc here , not sure how responsive you are to comments and what not but my first venture has been modding cyberpunk and i stumbled on this guide. I saw another guide i followed which had me create a folder called "Modded" and place the folder beside the r6 folder in the games local files. Youre the first content creator ive seen who suggested dropping the mods directly into the bin folder , im praying that when i get home from work , i wont have to delete everythjng and reinstall for the 3rd time 😂 thanks , mate

When I first start modding a game I've not modded before, I always look for a channel like this to explain everything in straightforward terms. My first game years ago was Fallout 3 and used Gopher's channel to understand the basics, your channel very much emulates that style of video in a nostalgic kind of way. "installing manually is the best way to mod ANY game" well that's just not true lol. might be true for cyberpunk but there's not many reasons to not use mod organiser when modding skyrim for example.

Help I've followed everything step by step, but when opening a mod's zip folder it only has the red4ext and no r6 file.

@@POO69US I was looking into it and I found that like he said if you just drag and drop the folder into the cyberpunk directory it'll put it in the right spot for you. If the mod doesn't have both folders it just doesn't need them.

Thanks for watching! And yeah, once you get the hang of the basics its pretty easy to install or troubleshoot mods in case something breaks. The most important part is to have framework mods, besides that only other recommendation is to always read if any mod requires something extra or new not mentioned here and thats pretty much it.

Nice guide thanks! I think the problem with a lot of the mods is that you find a mod and check the requirements and realise it needs a few things you don't have, so you click on one and check the requirements and realise it needs some things you don't have, so you click on one and realise it needs some things you don't have, and so on. Before you know it that one mod now needs 10 other mods installed to work, at which point I wonder if it's even worth it and don't bother.

Hey mate I don't usually comment on such videos as this, but wow, I struggle with computer stuff and have never really even come close to using mods, I fear the complex systems they require, the way you explained everything was perfect, the dragging and dropping, where to put the files everything was perfect for an ADHD man like myself, I know I will have issues using the mods but that's down to my brain not being able to process it, but hopefully with this perfect set out video I should not run into many issues.
