i like how they tried to improve the relationship and add new things, but all the recycled dialogue and animations feels so unnatural to me. It still pleasant to have more physical interaction with them though

The game patch addition is somewhat different from the mod; primarily, the NPCs now seem to depend on your actions rather than moving around the apartment freely, as the mod allowed. Many interactions, such as cuddling, sleeping, showering together, and dancing, weren't in the original mod. The only notable similarities are the obvious ones: you can invite romanced NPCs to your house and initiate dialogue, which you could always do by calling them or meeting in person, and giving them a smooch.

It would be great if all interactions were connected to their personalities. Play guitar with Kerry, check some BDs with Judy, help River with his company, ride a bike with Panam. These patches add some small details, which are kinda cool, but they still have a lot of unused potential.

There’s another interaction I had with Panam in the Megabuilding 10 apartment. I was looking in the mirror, and she came up behind V and kissed him on the cheek. Also after the first date (since these are repeatable every 2 in-game days) you can send your partner a gift and it’ll be at their home/camp.

and in fallout 4, you had 13 companions, 7 with potential romance, and when you switched from one to another, each companion had a dialogue unique to that incoming companion that reflected their personality (damn, Cait x Piper and it's dreamed "threesome" deserved a mod), and they reacted to your actions depending on the context, such as walking naked. They reacted to whether you did good or bad actions, they even abandoned you if you did too many things that they disliked. CDPR pleases fans by making a mod official, but does not develop romanceable characters

@@glowhoo9226 i don't feel like that's what cdpr intended with mitch's tone - V was literally gone for 2 years without Panam really knowning anything outside a brief text letting her know he'd be gone for a month. She was heartbroken but got over it, and Mitch is either protecting her feelings or (the more likely scenario in my opinion) Panam has simply moved on as people do. She's headstrong and emotionally driven, and I feel like she would hold it to herself to not go all the way back to NC for someone who essentially ghosted her for two years (Even if it wasn't V's fault). Hardly a shitshow and definitely not abandonment.

Well thats sweet but it would have been nicer if the writers had the balls to write a few missions into the expansion for them. Could have done an extra gig with Jackie in the prologue too. Maybe one that superificially ties into some later expansion plot elements. Would have been a lot better than what we got with a bunch of boring, unlikeable new characters just for the expansion.
