I don’t know what to feel anymore. The cyberpunk world has no happy ending, where ever she goes there won’t be a paradise or someplace peaceful. Like take our real world for example, when we want peace and serenity, we go to countries like Switzerland or Netherlands or Iceland, everything there is so beautiful. But in the cyberpunk world, everything is pretty much technology and wastelands, the moon is pretty much the last place. That’s what makes cyberpunk f*cked up by also very amazing. I loved this series, it really does portray the distopian aspect of Cyberpunk, as Dexter Shawn says "Live a quiet life or go out in a blazing glory" David did exactly that. It's portrayed extremely well from Trigger and I'm real happy to see if they are making a second season based on the "Legends" of Night City like Morgan Blackhand or Spider Murphy.

This story hit like a truck. The failed not failed dream and loneliness is so poignant. I cannot think of anything close to the haunting this did to me. She had her dream but the dream wasn't fully there because of David not being there. The loneliness fully hits her in this moment. The world before her quite literally and the only thing she really ever wanted is gone. Truly gone. The writing here is top teir.

I haven't watched an anime for a long time since DBZ and Gundam days, really liked the theme of Cyberpunk, so I gave the show a chance, and man I had no idea how much the show would hit me in the feels like that, Felt so bad for the characters as it seems they never had a chance from the start

The really sad part is that, that David we see at the end is real. It's clips from the brain dance Lucy recorded when she was in the brain dance with David. She then took them and made a kinda AI of david

@@JJJJJJJJJAAAAAA well it's not really an ai, more just an image construct. Also we know in the lore of cyberpunk that you can edit brain dance data and then turn it into an AR experience. So Lucy probably did that based off of how David looks in the shot and stuff like that

Same bro, honestly the show and the writing made me feel so connected to a lot of the characters despite how little we know most about them aside from David who is the MC. I suffer from asthma but imagine how hard it is to breathe because of feeling sad. He went out being a legend even if it was bloody, painful, and saddening, at the end of the day. David won the hearts of Night City.

Yeah that's what we might have wanted, but for the theme of the story and the moral dilemma, David stood no chance. It's a tragic story, and one of the few times in a romance story I've seen where I legit feel so bad for the other half of the pair that has to deal with the death of their beloved
