My bed is perfectly flush and polished looking. I'd take it to a service center. That is 100% why it does not work.

I had exactly the same issue. I made a service request. They looked at it, then had to consult with their engineering team and then they had me come back in and they fixed it. I also thought the floor piece was too high, but it’s bolted directly to the frame and not moving. So they actually had to move the side walls up. It fits anywhere now.

My service center did the same: moving the L-track rails a little higher is the solution. The divider now fits anywhere in the bed

I got my cargo divider today and had the exact same issue. I managed to get it on behind the hinge in the same spot you wanted by getting the right side in first, then by sitting down on the other side. It’s too high as you said. My weight was able to force it down and lock in. Obviously one shouldn’t have to struggle with it, but i got in on. Also the under seat cargo bin…I noticed in other older reviews that it originally came with two wedge shaped cubbies that fit innthe inside inside. (It shipped with 3 pieces.) At some point Tesla inconspicuously took those away.

Having a lifevac in your vehicle is wonderful and genius move. I keep one in mine. EMS will not be able to arrive in time, and heimlich can fail. As a previous ED doc and public health doc for county, take my word for it

I have the same exact issue. I have had some success by latching one side and giving the other side a fairly strenuous whack. I have a service appointment to see what can be done, but I fear that I am wasting my time. If bed liner height varies, they need to make the rubber feet variable height/spring-loaded so you can compress it down for latching anywhere you want it. I have ordered the plastic bins and plan to put the divider right behind the bins. I suspect this will be in the zone where liner is too high to mount divider (without a very violent smashing of the unlatched end)….. Disappointing….

I had the issue with mine, all of a sudden I received a notice from Tesla that your Divider has been shipped, I responded back that I'd already received it, but a new one came anyhow, not sure if they knew the first one was off but the 2nd one I received works perfectly anywhere in the bed

You made a key point - the under seat storage seemed at first to be of lesser value if you have a car seat (too much effort to remove to get to storage) EXCEPT you demonstrated the split seat so two car seats could nullify the value but one still gives the value…although $250 seems a bit high and will be knocked off quickly by cheaper versions IMO

Bought a Cybertruck Vault Cargo Divider and will return it. The Cybertruck Vault Cargo Divider L Track pins are too high and do not align with L track. Additionally, the cargo divider lower metal beam is resting on the truck bed floor which will result in damage to the truck bed floor and or the cargo divider.

Yep, cargo divider sucks. LIke, did not a single person at tesla test this thing? they even replaced my bed and it still doesn't fit. they messed. Hope they make it right at some point.

I have the same problem with the cargo divider. I posted on an online CyberTruck group, and everybody just said that I'm not putting it in right, but it's pretty obvious to me how it's supposed to work, it just doesn't work that way. My divider won't work over the rear storage compartment, either. For clarity, you shouldn't say "Cybertruck Flop" in your title. It's the accessory that's the flop-not the Cybertruck.

I just received mine and have the exactly the same problem - it seems like the bed is a couple of mm higher than it is supposed to be. Like you, I can attach near the liftgate, but then it blocks me from opening the under-bed storage. Did you just end up returning it? It seems like it's the truck bed and not the accessory that is out of spec 😕

I have the exact same issue. I had Tesla service look at it when my tent was installed. Their solution is to hit it/force it down with pressure. So lock in one side and then work on the other. Very frustrating experience. However, in my case with now having a tent, there’s far fewer places to use it.

Busted my divider. Locked one side in and forced the other side down…nearly broke the led strip to boot. Build quality of something is lacking. I’m returning the broken vault divider.

I am a teacher and apparently ALL teenagers love the Cybertruck. I was going to get people in all of my classes to watch a couple of your videos so I can make assignments from features of the cybertruck (and hopefully get them excited about physics for once). However, I just can't encourage clickbait and exaggerated titles. I think it sends the wrong message to teens about using misleading information for attention. You should really consider being a good example and using normal and accurate titles.
