I'm torn because I want the most expensive trim, but do I get dual to get the truck sooner and save money? I'm at peace with a dual motor performance option. Honestly, an extra second on 0-60 isn't needed. It was the range.

I don’t care about performance, I want range. Having towed with my model Y and seeing 50% drop on 500 lbs trailer and grinder load, 300+ miles isn’t enough to tow with. Even GM with Silverado realizes this and has 400 miles

​@@ReliableInebriationOutlet I do not think so but people will be carping never the less. Tesla semi delivery event was not typical. Tesla is not selling the semi to the general public yet. It has sold a few to pepsi and others who are testing it. They have signed NDAs. So not a typical delivery event. Tesla typically starts delivering cars to customers within a few weeks of a delivery event. For example, Tesla started delivering Model 3s to customers within a few weeks of the Model 3 delivery event in July 2017. Similarly, Tesla started delivering Model Ys to customers within a few weeks of the Model Y delivery event in March 2020. The semi delivery event was the odd man out. It was delivering what I think of as Test vehicles to a few corporations. Testing still in progress.

@@danharold3087I’m focusing on the last part you said. I don’t believe the cybertruck will be like the semi because it is for the people like the Y not the semi’s. Just my opinion for what it’s worth but I’m sure it’ll ship out within two weeks of announcement. I believe since other legacy automakers were on the jump to bring a truck to market first that the CT is secretive so others don’t steal designs or ideas (again).

To be clear, at some point the reservation process never included an option to setup configuration. So it's more likely their manage order page never described their trim (because they didn't have one), rather than it changed.

I'd do an Austin delivery with or without a factory tour, preferably with. I will not do a Freemont delivery until CA fixes their stupid tax situation, a tourist exemption allowing you to get the car out in a week or two would bring extra revenue vs all the people like me that skip them entirely due to their hefty levy.

FSD was locked in. It say's EXACTLY: 'Selecting FSD today will secure your price as it increases in the future'. I have it screen-shot as do many others. No amount of fine print is going to make that invalid, not if Tesla is sued in a massive class action lawsuit. It won't happen, Tesla will give the price promised for FSD. The vehicle, not so much.

If they want to start soliciting non-refundable deposits or making deposits non-refundable, they need to release ALL of the details they refuse to release. This includes crash test data, pricing, range, whether our FSD reservation price will be honored, and estimated delivery date. I'm getting more and more likely to cancel my Cybertruck reservation at this point because of the absolute lack of transparency.

I have a Rn112 & Rn113, the 112 has changed and I cannot see the dual & FSD that I ordered, whereas my 113 has not changed. I will not pay more than 65K base for my dual because with the FSD and taxes were still looking at close to 80 K, that’s crazy.

Kia EV9 (GT Line) is being delivered here in Utah with 99 kWh battery, I wonder what battery capacity the Cybertruck will deliver -- much more than 100 kWh?

I imagine if Tesla wiped the slate clean they would be sued and rightly so. Tesla and Elon have said the order in the list counts. It is reasonable that Tesla will rework the configure page to make it align with reality. I expect that is what they are doing and soon everyone with a truck that does not align with what will be built, will be asked to reconfigure their order. Maybe there will be new choices like wraps. Maybe there will be more or less trim levels.

There is an interior choice, they have a white interior as we've seen, but they also have a black interior. If you watch the video where Elon musk gave the Isreal prime minster a test ride in the truck, you can see that it has a black interior.

Personally, I'd be surprised if they didn't make a tri-motor Cybertruck at some point. The tri-motor system would be great for highway efficiency and range and for traction control when off-roading. It would also give the Cybertruck crazy performance! A quad-motor plaid Cybertruck would be really cool, but that would just be overkill and I'm not sure a 1200-1500 hp vehicle is practical to the mass market.
