It needs to be experienced, because it is so different from what you expect from a car, or a truck. Think of it like a jet aircraft taking off... but stronger!

It is why their torque curve is so flat... mash the pedal down, and it'll keep you pinned to the seat for the literal 4 seconds it takes to go from 0-60mph, and continues to 115mph over 12 seconds for the quarter mile. It is like the electric roller coasters that some theme parks have. Tesla Launch videos are numerous... but find a way to experience it yourself... it defies description.

According to paper specs the Porsche 911 Turbo S is less quicker for 0-100km/h in secs, but I guess they used the Carrera RWD cause it's a ¼ mile and despite Cybertruck towing another Turbo S, the S with it's AWD would have beaten the Cybertuck in ¼ mile, more so in ½ mile. So it could be this reason that they used a random lower 911 model instead of Turbo S that they should for representing "911". Anyways the Cybertruck may not match top speed of lower Carrera's, it's simply quicker not faster, and not even quicker than the GT2 RS in ¼ mile most likely.

If we look in to the price difference of this exact 911 and the Cybertruck, it's actually very little about 15-25k and the base model 911 is no drag car. While sub 11 second quarter mile is impressive, you need to still remember it's done on the drag strip and the car is fully charged and these are peak conditions and requirements that won't amount to real life at this scale. Making fun of Porsche on the drag strip would be the same as Volkswagen taking a Jetta and comparing it's top speed to the Cybertruck or the Dacia Duster taking on the Cybertruck in an offroad challenge.

Of course to Porsche would slay in the corners but the CT would slay off road. Nobody wants a CT for carving corners, and nobody tows shit with their Porsche. The CT going that fast in a straight line is impressive AF, given trucks generally can't hang with supercars on acceleration.

Nobody denies that EV's are torquey and fast in a straight line, all of the criticisms are about the fact that they pollute more during battery production than an ICE car does from manufacture to the end of it's life, the fact that they are useless to anyone outside of the cities and suburbs, and that when it comes to hauling capacity and range, diesel or diesel/electric is the way to go

And for those times you might, it also an order of magnitude cheaper per mile, without even factoring in maintenance costs. After 5 hours of driving, I will empty my old man bladder, stretch my legs for 30 minutes, eat a meal, while the truck charges. And also... the recharge to full range will cost less than my meal (vs a tank of gasoline)

No battery production has ever caused an environmental disaster, like say, Exxon Valdez, or Kuwaiti oil well destruction, or numerous others. There are no geopolitical issues to deal with (oh, we will defend this country because they have oil... not others though that do not) Also, the battery components are not "consumed* like burning gas. They can be 100% recycled as their core element composition is still intact. So... where is it that refined petroleum is a better option?
