i am not getting option to change from manual to automatic inventory valuation,

In version 16 if you have installed the inventory module you will have this feature by default in the product categories. For version 17 you have to enable 'Automatic Accounting' from accounting configuration settings.

Thanks, but after you created invoice you need to confirm it so as to be posted in the journal entry. No need for manual entry for the invoice.

When an invoice is created/posted a journal entry for the invoice will be created, but the stock valuation journal entry will be generated only if the inventory valuation is automated. For manual inventory valuation, we have to manually create a stock journal entry.

in case of anglo-saxon this has to tackle with putting a journal entry for cogs against stock interim account

@@cybrosys-technologies actually, the account reflected as 60000 Expense is the cost of goods account in this transaction (Cost of Revenue would be the account type). I find that Odoo does not speak more into this. I also think that the manual entry would need to be more detailed and reflect the real accounting involved with a sale.

The demonstration however achieves the goal. It comes short of describing the Average method. I actually though I could choose Manual or Automated costing regardless of the method.
