You need to go and do the north side of the bridge to Kincardine. Loads of interesting things to see. I keep meaning to go back and do it again as I love riding over bridges.

Loved this video when it came out. Finally got round to having a crack at it today. Couldn’t have got better weather for it. Started at Falkirk High, had a wee detour by the Falkirk wheel & the big horsie heids first. What an awesome route. It really has it all. Including a big massive hill where I thought I was lost, but what a view up there. and that field of sheep went on for ages. The views of the Forth were awesome, Bo’Ness looks lovely, I’ll need to go back there. And the bridges as the end of the route, 100%. First time cycling over the Road bridge. First time on a train over the rail bridge. I wouldn’t have thought of this if not for your video, so many thanks, that were a braw day out.

Excellent! Glad you got to go out this way. I'm going to do it again as it's a great route but next time I'm going to get the train so that I can go back across the railway bridge like you did. that's the perfect ending to this route. Great that you got better weather than me and hopefully I get good weather next time.

There is a great cafe on the South Queensferry side with toilets. Look on the map for Forth Bridges viewpoint, it's there. :)

My mother was born and grew up at Bearcrofts farm , Grangemouth - the third generation of her family there. They left in 1944 as the oil tanks spread and it now lies underneath the oil refinery.

I was buying cattle from an old farmer at Bamber Bridge in 1982 and he told me about his first experience of driving the motorway by passing Preston. He had to stop and find a garage , owing to the noise his car was making. Turned out the racket was just caused by the vehicle passing at speed over the joints in the concrete sections of the new road !
