Ordered and received my Cycleboard Rover on August 9th. The unit ran great, however it would not charge. Customer service said they would send a replacement charger. The replacement charger didn't charge the board either. They asked me to open up the board and show them pictures of the fuses. They determined fuses were fine. They asked me to charge the battery and send them a voltage test. I don't have the equipment to test the battery and it won't charge regardless. They said I couldn't request a return because I was outside of the 14-day return period. They offered to send a replacement battery on August 29th. I reached out to them on September 4th to see why the battery hadn't shipped yet and they said they were on holiday (Labor Day weekend) and that it was "in the queue" to be shipped. I've reached out to them every few days since then and they are no longer responding to me. I've tried calling, email, and social media. No answers from them anywhere. I would appreciate your upvote to help get the word out that this company is seemingly not trustworthy!

Try leaning back, putting your weight over the back wheel when you have to hit the brakes. I tried it at reduced speeds this past weekend and the board remained stable.

As a long-time owner of a cycleboard, I've found it to be, by far, one of the safest scooters on the market. I question her experience level and speed. It requires minimal coordination. RE: Cycleboard Speed Settings The Cycleboard has 5 speed settings which enable the user to increase their speed as their experience level grows, if so desired. Most e-scooter accidents occur due to the user being experienced at the speed level they've selected. Based on the video, she clearly was riding her cycleboard at speed greater than her experience level as demonstrated by the fact she, instead of braking, panicked, lost her balance and fell. RE: Rider Stance As for your stance, you can ride it with your feet together, however, it's logical at greater speeds one would choose a stance similar to a skateboard and/or snowboard. The 2-wheel scooters are far more dangerous. RE Braking You cannot expect to stop on a dime when riding over 15 mph - that's physics. I've pushed my Rover to its limits and the brakes have never failed me. If you're not experienced for the speed and are incapable of controlling anything, you should be riding it at a slower level. It's naïve to assume you will stop on a dime - not even vehicles do. RE: Customer Support The few issues I've encountered have been readily addressed by their support team at Cycleboard and they have honored their warranty on 2 item I requested a replacement for. Lastly it is irresponsible of anyone to judge and/or attempt to launch a smear campaign on something they've never ridden.

> instead of braking, panicked, lost her balance and fell I saw the video. You can see those front wheels (connected to the handle bars) zig zagging like crazy which then threw her off. Going down hill at speed will make it tough for a guy to hold on. I don't think it's a simple case of panicking.

I’m 62 years old I’ve had my Rover for 2 years and ride it at much and as fast as possible. I find it to be extremely stable at any speed, however I’m also aware from Day 1 that the brakes are only on the single rear wheel so that’s not going to give you a lot of stopping power at high speed so you do need to lean back when braking. I’m sorry to say that what I saw was an inexperienced rider on her first ride, operator error. I don’t know why you were falling-off every time you took it out when you brake.

Dude you are not correct whatsoever about the stability of the cycle board. I have ridden this unit so hard and it has held up really well. Wow unbelievable. Experienced riders only.
@jasonjohnson9813

This was clearly an issue with the rider. I watched mutliple times and there is no design issue, just someone that shouldn't be on this type of machine. Is there a design issue with a skateboard? How about a snowboard or skis?
@KiziEwheels
@KiziEwheels 7 ай бұрын
You clearly don't know what you are talking about. No one has ever made a video of what it's like to suddenly brake on a cycleboard, even after they told me they were going to create a safety video about it. They know what will happen. Only an amateur would compare a motorized vehicle to a non-motorized one. It's like comparing bicycles to motorcycles. I really don't have time to break things down for another cycleboard bot. The Cycleboard is nothing like a skateboard, snowboard, or skis. Snowboards are not motorized, and they do not weigh 75+ pounds.

The only reason that scooter spent out is because she was not riding it right you have to lean your whole body to the right your body is the controller. How many times do we have to see this?

@@peluangel2273 He did that on purpose! You can crash on anything if you don't use it properly. I have the original smaller Cycleboard that my daughter was using when she was 6 years old. Of course she was riding it on level 1 in the beginning. Now 5 years later she use it on level 3 and she never fell with it. I bought the Rover right after it came out and never experienced anything like this. I agree that the brake should be better but you have to ride it with caution.

sorry that your wife had an accident, but she didn't fall. She stepped down at speed, which was a mistake. It looked like she was treating the cycleboard like a standard non electric scooter. huge mistake. Think of car. Even going a 10 mph you can't just step out like nothing. You will fall on your face. Again, I am sorry your wife got injured and I hope she is doing better.

Sorry that your wife got hurt and you lost money on it. Three wheel scooters takes time to get used to, they can't make tight turn as it will tip over easily. I have an old K2 kickscooter that uses this design and I'm very comfortable with it, but my kid and wife hates it. I can ride with no hands and one hand, it fact it has a ball handle in the center vs a bar which I think helps you to to over tilt the front.

The guy has clearly stated that he just wants the company to do better, not sue them like most people would have. Cycleboard actually improved their braking system on the new model, and I bet it's because of this video. I can hard brake on a scooter going 30 mph and stop without issues; you can't do that with this Cycleboard Rover. How come you've never seen a video of Cycleboard demonstrating the stopping power of this Rover? Some of you just speak on things you know nothing about-you don't even own a Cycleboard. I that was my wife I would go after Cycleboard hard, asking him to delete the video for some deal is not a good look

Honestly i wouldn't use the scooter at all if this is the kind of risk you take using it. I never heard of this e scooter and it's clear it has a huge problem if braking, the one thing that's suppose to help you slow down causes you potential harm. I ride a Vsett 11+ and i would ride that without fear all day everyday. It's built with safety in mind. A lot of safety feature built in. It's cool seeing different styles of e scooter but this model needs to be taken back to the lab to be redesigned. Also the problem with making a safety video is that it probably isn't possible since it's unstable. Big brands have no problem making such videos because they stand by their products and their customers. So if after all this time they still haven't made any real attempts to make thing right i would say their intentions isn't in the right place. I to don't want them to go out of business or go through legal stuff over that video but they need to do a recall imo. Sure it's not a good look and they will lose money but it will be worth it if they come back with a newer design with safety in mind.
