When i was 16 yrs old i had the pleasure of being on a pit crew and racing yamaha vmax4s with legendary racers guy parquette ( skidoo factory racer) mike knapp ( arctic cat) and pat hauk ( yamaha) on grass...ice and the beginning of snowmobile asphalt racing ..best years of my life

Awesome coverage, I remember being one of the first first sleds on the asphalt way back when I used to work at PSI in the early 90s.

We took a couple of dirt bikes with spiked tires to a frozen lake where they raced snowmobiles, "on any given Sunday". That Sunday a 125cc Kow and 250cc Yamaha blew them off their track, lap after lap. I was lapping the fastest snowmobiles in under 4 laps..., "lapping the field"!

Sorry not to be rude, but im curious how that is a world record? We have trail sleds here in Canada going just as quick and fast in the 660.

Love the smell of VHT....I've walked out of my shoes twice when I worked at Raceway Park here in NJ. We had sleds race a few times, against each other and motorcycles the full 1/4 mile. Wild.

Right there with you! ..lolol...One of my favorites was I was working on an injected Nitro dragster I believe at the Dallas National event and we were in the lanes and I had walked up to the line to watch the other team car run and the guy in the other lane...well whoever was backing them up I don't think he'd been on a national event prepped track before, lol, and he goes from the side of the track, to dead smack in the middle to start backing the car up, takes one normal step, then his second step foot sticks, third step pulls the shoe off his previous step, same thing happens with the other foot when he takes his third step... momentum kept going and he's on the ground with no shoes on, which would have been his fourth step, RIGHT in front of the ESPN cameras, it was absolutely hilarious 😂😂 -- I've done my best to save friends, girlfriends things like that from falling over when they accidentally stand by the vht sprayer or are on the track, they noticed their shoes are stuck and I'd make sure they don't move because if you're not expecting it, you're going to eat it LOL - - - good memories, good memories :-) Thanks for sharing that comment, was good and it also jarred a few good memories loose :-) Now don't get me wrong, anyone who has spent time at a drag strip has had a foot gets stuck in some capacity or another, lol 😁😂

Many years ago I helped build the “sled shed” for Yamaha racing in Mn. They had the shop right next door to the grass track. Very fun watching them run.

Really enjoyed the video! Really enjoyed the way you changed up the intro, really cool. I almost wonder if you could pick them cool music to put over it as well maybe? I do like the Tron look as well as putting some of the ending video clips at the beginning with the Fades between clips and so on, I dig it

If you get a sled, I have idea's on how to keep you legs and butt where they are supposed to be on the sled. I came up with these idea's after I became disabled in September of 03 from a work injury....my jersey say's "Disabled not Defeated" across the back with a polio pete in the background. Polio Pete is the blue and white picture of any handicap parking spot or plaquard...lol...from Wyoming USA 🔫🤠🇺🇸p.s stay safe

I was wicked 330 wear coast champion in junior dragsters and track champion at bandimere in both classes (7.90 bracket race, and 330ft heads up junior top fuel) and right after I won the 330 class the pro snowmobile class ran and set my heart on fire and I've never been able to do it.
