I'm 5 10 and feel comfortable yet sporty on my 2019 300. I don't know why they call them cruisers cause to me it feels pretty standard. I have scraped the footpegs many times. And you wouldn't believe how many compliments I've gotten from old bikers. One asked me if it's a modified bobber, I don't even know what that means.

I just purchased a Rebel 300 as my ride while in Florida during the winter (I have a CTX 700 in NY). It's a comfortable bike, easy to handle for shorter riders (I'm 5'6") and great for one or two hour cruising on roads at speeds of up to 70 mph. If you can afford the additional $2k for the 500 go for it. It's the same basic bike with extra power (not overwhelming) and you'll appreciate the ability to cruise on the highway at lower rpms (less vibration and noise).

@@tinman3586 I have 3 motorcycles. I only ride the Grom. I rode for about 12 years before I got my license. I too took the course one the Grom. Those bikes are abused. The clutch needed to be adjusted on yours. Finding neutral on the Grom is easy if you have the clutch properly adjusted.

The 14cc difference makes that much of a difference? Lots of other motorcycles "lie" about their displacement also. Is the MT07 a 700? No, it's 689cc. Is the SV650 really a 650? Nope, 645cc. I'm sure there are lots of other examples.

You sound bitter. If you were THIS disappointed in the bike, it sounds like you bought it without doing any research or test rides. That’s your fault for having expectations that were that far off and buying a bike that was all wrong for you. And no mature or sane person would crush a bike instead of selling it and just moving on with their life.
