Great that somebody enjoys my way to work so much. But you are right. It is great to bycicle at the river Main. Especially at sunrise and sunset. Even in winter. But avoid the south side at spring and summer at the afternoon. Then parts of the riverside become an open air bar and you have to slalom around the many people. Even in the town are some good cycle lanes. For example from the main station through the canyons of the skyscrapers to the Old Opera.

A bike rental fleet of one with 700c wheels and gears, this is a first, or is it common there?

It’s common to see people ride all types of bikes including the one you saw in the video.

@@pedalandtringtring Most rental fleets, though, are usually 26" single-speed bikes, so I was surprised to see a fleet with 700c multi-speed bikes. I'm thinking of those with fleet bikes parked at stations, or our own Yulu/Mybyk kind of rental firms.

@@arjunmohan2005 In Europe single speed bikes are rarely on rent. Indian PBS brands have only single speed ones.
