Wow - that set up is bonkers! Very cool. Your knees don’t hit the feedbag/streaming device? I can’t even use feedbags on any of my bikes - I don’t know if it is because I’m fairly tall or have a strange riding style.

Out of curiosity, what's the purpose of having multiple modems with different carriers?
@TerryB4 жыл бұрын
Back up In case of service interruptions
@RolandRides4 жыл бұрын
Every radio cell (the covered area by one broadcasting tower) has its limits and starts to shape bandwidth when reaching capacity. This means every subscriber receives a fraction of the total capacity. You can cheat with more modems and get n-times the fraction. Usually carriers have different limits and coverages, so redundancy is another reason. That said it's quite hard to bond the different connection in one "big" one and also to deal with increasing lag and disruptions without losing video frames.
@BobDrenth4 жыл бұрын
Beastly setup, especially with that battery and 4(!) modems, have you considered moving the battery to low on the seattube? Would make the weight less of a pain balance wise for sure. Might be possible with a Fidlock universal bottle mount, saw a guy who modded one to hold his DJI Mavic case so I'd try something similar, or just using some hard gopro type mounts Also if you want to improve your cable runs, buy some velcro-ties and maybe swap out those network cables with some InLine brand slim patch cables. Can't wait to see this setup evolve, cameras & bikes is best of both worlds if you ask me

@RolandRides4 жыл бұрын
Agustin Garcia stabilization is not good enough. And adding a bulky gimbal doesn't solve the 4G connection issues. You just have to have 2-4+ modems/upstream connections to get a good 1080p stream

Had it with complexity. Ride fixed with postage stamp over speed display. Hydration pack carries water, tools, and complete new tire. The pack takes the dead weight off the bike and places it onto the pedals when it counts uphill! Omniums use a defective bottom bracket. I have no skills as videographer and as such realize somebody has to make the videos.

I want to see you try the Quad lock bike phone mount, I've been eyeing it and if it works for you I'll definitely get it.
@daveyman4 жыл бұрын
I have the quad lock out front pro mount with the go pro mount underneath, the phone mount is solid and definitely would recommend, the gopro mount attachment on the bottom doesn’t tighten down your action camera all the way but is okay if you are mounting a gopro in the undersling position but if you mount let’s say a Insta360 x horizontally and hit a little bit up bumps it tends to drop the camera back down to the undersling/upside down position. Definitely recommend it for the phone mount
