Interesting to see so much 'wilderness' near the city. Those green ways and trails have obviously been there for some time but have not been maintained in a while.

At 12:42 in your video is the trail that leads to the South County Trailway, the trailway you once did a video on. Love your videos and watch them on a daily basis. I'm an avid bicycle rider and I also ride to many places, which you covered all of including this one. Thank You

I live in riverdale all my life and I’ve been on most of those trails. It’s good to see someone putting some light on what’s absolutely one of nycs hidden gems. People have no idea that The Bronx has places like this. I will say though, the unpaved trails are not for biking. Those are footpaths. The paved trails are for biking and walking.

Nice video. I spent part of my childhood in Riverdale and it was great to get a ride down Riverdale Ave. I saw the building where I used to live on the right and the school, P.S. 81, where I went right across the street and farther down the hill the Presbyterian church. When you rode into Riverdale I immediately recognized the place (even though it has changed because of some new buildings) because of the wall on the right. You also went by the College of Mount St. Vincent on your right. Most people miss it because of the trees along the avenue. Back in the '50s, there used to be a thick yellow line dividing Riverdale from Yonkers. I don't think it's there anymore. Very nice ride.

That path that you took to the left almost looks more like a hiking trail than a bikeway. It sure is pretty reminds me of some of the hiking trails that our walking club used to do in state and county parks. Looks like it turned out to be a walking trail after all, they should have posted a sign that said no bicycles at the place where you made your left turn. That’s google maps for you.

Ha, I've been bicycling from childhood on... I never understood the purpose of retrograding to an expensive single-speed bike, even when you live in a very flat region - it was always a totally idiotic trend in my view.
