The slower pace to your content, your humble persona and your subtle commentary are all a refreshing change in this universe of excessiveness. Thank you.

Nice vlog. I hate riding along major roads where the speed limits goes past 60km/h. Just the wind wash from cars doing that speed together with very narrow shoulders frightens me. But sometimes there is no other option is there! Thanks for the tip on staying hydrated. Will give this a try. I might even take a banana or two, they are a good source of magnesium, or avocados and nuts. Did you take a train to get to Port Macquarie (or near to), how much extra does a bicycle from Sydney cost ?

This was a round trip, using my car. I have done train-based trips, but once you’re outside the Opal network you have to get a ticket for you (price varies) and your bike, which I think is $12 and the bike must be boxed up.

Hi Mike, did you change the handlebars on the Kona ?

Yes. I had two issues with the drop bars; I was getting a lot of neck pain as the reach was too far for me, so I needed something to sit me more upright. And I was not comfortable with the bar-end shifters. Maybe I change gear too often, but fiddling with a shifter right on the end of the bars made me feel very unstable. I'm much happier with the flat bars and rapid-fire shifters.
