I love this trail! I did a 3 hour 47 minute hike on this trail 2 months ago. Started off from Old Mill Station on the Old Mill Trail and went past the Humber Bay Arch Bridge on the trail parallel to Lakeshore Boulevard West, continuing along the Martin Goodman Trail and all the way back to Old Mill Station. My longest and most exhausting hike but definitely one of my favourites. P.S. Love the video!!

I use to bike this trail back when I lived in Roncesvalles. I would some times stop and fish along the way for trout and Smallmouth Bass. Trail looks like it hasn't changed at all. Thanks for the video. P.S. I did not eat the fish from the Humber , I let them go.

Maybe the southern parts haven't changed, but they did do some construction a couple years ago near the Scarlet rd bridge/underpass & Cruickshank to Raymore. (Some of which can be seen in Google Street View.)

The Palace condominiums are absolutely huge, with spectacular views, and very clean, beautifully kept grounds -- a gated community. Makes a difference. No rubbish, graffiti, untended lawns and flower beds, or uninvited loiterers.

I know this route by heart,, and used to ride it back before most of it got paved into proper trails. You used to have to carry your bike across the river to continue just past Lawrence. Amazing to think that the trail is probably abour 10 000 years old....older than the pyramids.

Probably Scarlett Woods Golf Course that you were speaking of, Johnny. Nice little track at the corner of Jane Street and Eglinton Avenue West. Used to play it years ago in my youth back in the 1980s. Great cycling video there sir. Keep them up. I love getting homesick out here in nowhereland, AKA: Calgary. Also you ask about a bridge at about the 20:15 point(?) and I believe it’s the CPR Track Bridge with the tracks exiting West from the Junction.

the trail just north of where you started is the best part of the humber trail, the one that goes up to finch, its like 5K of non-stop trail through the forest

@@JohnnyStrides I went as far as Burlington on Saturday. I rode the bike path to Port Credit from downtown, then took Lakeshore to Ford Dr. I made a left on Ford and went to Lakeshore (Oakville), and west to the Burlington city limit. I saw a lot of mansions with estate lots.

I am definitely a winter/cold person, so I feel a little bad saying I can't wait till cycling weather, but I got into cycling again last summer, and I want to ride my new bike to these trails. Really excited for the end of March! :D Your videos are very helpful during that wait. I'm going to watch all of your cycling videos by then. Also, I'm amazed how well you do with that fixed gear. You handle hills that people with many gears aren't able to, and I believe you were faster than any rider you encounter during this entire video (and pretty much all your other videos). About 4 minutes into this video you pass near where I've'd lived since I was 10. 30 seconds later, you pass the building I resided in before that. If you follow that dirt path at 7:10 (Which I recommend when you're walking.) you can get up on the rockwall opposite Raymore Park. If ya take Emmett from Eglinton, you can find a trail on the opposite side of the waterfall 9 minutes into this, but be warned, it isn't as well maintained. (Which has another path leading to the Eglinton Flats Golf course shortly after going under Eglinton. [Was that the one you were talking about?] Also it has a side trail going to Sidney Belsey.) The area around 23 minutes into this has a dirt trail up to Dundas St West. If you took the lower trail about 24 & a half minutes into this, you wouldn't have had to do Old Dundas & Lundy. Walk along the stone trail/path about 10 & a half minutes into this to get under Eglinton on the other side of the Humber. I've probably walked all of this, but my photos only go as far as Etienne Brûlé Park. I'll probably finish on a cool day after I get my iPad repaired. Finally, I divide the Humber Trail into 5 sections (6 if you count West Humber Trail, which starts near Albion Road north of Arcot Blvd & goes to the Indian Line Campground. I have yet to do anything west of Albion.) 1: North (Steeles to Cardell & Fairglen.) 2: North Central (Malaby [Or to be more specific, the area just below the metal stairs around St Phillips.] to Ukrainian Canadian Memorial Park.) 3: Central (Other side of Eglinton at Scarlet to Etienne Brulé.) 4: South Central (Kings Mill Park to Riverwood Pkwy.) & 5: Stephen Dr opposite Clover hill rd to Humber Bay Park East & Martin Goodman Trail.) 4 out of 5 (Or 6) in less than an hour isn't bad. (This would've taken me at least a few hours, because I'd be walking it.) If you could do a video without your handle bar or hands in the shot, I'd enlist your help in photographing Toronto. (Many hands make light work sort of thing.) I'll also put some effects on them if you don't mind, perhaps contact some record companies as well to see about making a music video for one of the bands they have signed. (Once my iPad is working again, I can do some pretty trippy stuff, which I'd like to use with some EDM sort of music.) I used to make a lot of walking videos, but nothing I used had very good stabilization & I prefer not having people in my shots. It's been roughly 9 years since I've been on the Don Trails. (I'm considering going back after finishing the Humber.) Don't forget the Rouge River in the East & Etobicoke Creek in the West.

I rode this trial from Weston Rd. and Finch to the Humber Bay Bridge and back three times last year. It's a beautiful trail. I'd prefer this over the Don Trail between the two. It's better paved than the broken Don Trail. There's an option not to walk down the stairs from where you started at St. Phillips Rd. If you go further south on Weston Rd, right before Church St. there is an entrance on the south side without going down a flight of stairs. It's confusing but that's one option. Another option which is longer is through Scarlett Rd. and Lawrence Ave, you can connect back to the Humber Trail via Memorial Park.

It's "dangerous and stupid" for the pedestrians, not the cyclists. It's against the law for cyclists over 14 to ride on the sidewalks in Toronto for a reason. If people are afraid to ride on the main streets (which is justified) then they shouldn't just ride on the sidewalks instead. There are plenty of less busy side streets they can use to plan an alternate route or take streets with proper bike paths.

Steeles is the northern border (I think that's where this trail starts as well). The 427 is necessary but ideally the Etobicoke/Mississauga border would be a better spot IMO.

Curious if the parks ever get any wild animals in them, other than the geese. I know in some parks in Northern Ontario you can get lynx, bears, deer, moose, etc. But I have no idea if the animals would travel in that far to get to the wooded and park areas along the rivers.

I live near Cedarvale park and we get coyotes, raccoons rabbits, skunks, the odd snake and of course squirrels.

Some places get Fox, Deer, Coyotes as well several other animals. It is there way to travel down to the lake.

I have also seen deer, but they usually congregate north of Albion. The trails along the Humber get coyotes (Hence the signs warning about them.) & I've seen rabbits and skunks on my night walks.

It is very safe but the problem is action cameras have poor low light performance with stabilization enabled, and the Osmo Pocket has this strange vibrating effect... so the only solution is to ride reeeeeeeally slow with any of the cameras :(

Phones like the iPhone 11 have awesome low light perfomence and decent stabilization, so if you have one you could try that. Either way, I'll still love your videos
