I am with Mike, jam first. Lots of trees down when I was up there the other week. I worked at the Newby Bridge Hotel across from the Swan. The roads and scenery on the west side of Lake Windermere are always fairly quiet, you picked a good day with the weather. I do not think you can beat the lakes, keep em coming Daz, cheers Alan.

Thanks for sharing your story there Alan, it's not a bad place to work up there at all. Mike was truly impressed with the ride out to these parts and it looks like everyone is saying that you put jam on first 🤔 Take care pal and thank you for your comments

Yes yes now we’re talking (riding) it’s a great loop around Windermere , I did it last year but anti clockwise , not sure why I always do loops that way but I think it’s about turning left a lot 😆. Yes that hawks head side is much quieter and more pleasant than the commercial side . Esthwaite water is a gem going past that . Any cheers again daz I like the video so please make some more when u can

No worries Scooby, made me laugh with the left turns comment.... Me n' Mike are getting quite good at quick planning the night before and creating the rides we have been going on. Although to be honest Mike just says something like ' How about The Lake District ' and I find a route 😁

I had a top 10 on the descent a few years ago but it's such a tricky one to get down due to the high speed corners. The lakes though are a fantastic place to ride your bike

Great video Gentlemen, and lovely scenery. As a Yorkshireman, I'd go with jam first, then cream. But I probably wouldn't buy a scone, as it's too flamboyant 😁
@MrDazP1adv3ntures2 жыл бұрын
It's very thought provoking is the jam and cream issue 🤔 I think cream first is better and is probably the Devon cream tea way. Google images shows it both ways lol with Welsh and Cornish scones having jam first. It's all part of the banter on these rides and food is an important factor to fuel the rides.

@@MrDazP1adv3ntures It was fun. Kim did the run and I did the bike ride. Marshaling and signage was poor though and I ended up doing the 40k circuit instead of the 20k. Was a great ride though. We stayed overning at the white horse pub north of grasmere. Awesome pub!

@@MrDazP1adv3ntures If it was butter yes you`re correct but its cream so if you spread the cream on the jam has nothing to adhere to and just slids off the cream leaving more of my face and not in me belly.
