Wow, that was something else. Super happy the clouds cleared fo you and you got to see it. Loads of my teammates all over the US and Canada watched it, too. All the cycling chat briefly gave way to eclipse stuff. Now the countdown for Spain is on 🤩

I remember when we had a young family and I went home to me, mum and dads in the UK and the thing I remember also about the total eclipse is the birds fell silent for that 2 or 3 minutes when the eclipse happen. Very haunting but a great video today. Thank you very much.

I must look into the effect on nature more, I've been hearing some really interesting stories about how the animals at Dallas Zoo reacted and want to know more about it. Would be cool to experience a quiet, eerie eclipse but I absolutely loved the loud, fun, American reaction, it was incredible!!!! Really glad you enjoyed the video and it brought back some great memories for you too! 💗💗💗

Wow - just wow! I remember the eclispe in the UK in 1999. I was in Worthing so it wasn't a complete full one but it was the most amazing thing. Very jealous you guys got to see this one!

Of course, I get my dream telescope ( I've wanted a decent scope for about 45 years..since I was a kid) 2 weeks AFTER the eclipse. We were treated to eclipse glasses shared by the staff at a welcome center at the Outlets at Barstow, so we got to see it for a moment. Thanks for sharing this, I also got a bit emotional. It was a good video, and I'll be MORE than ready for next time 😁

@@MyLouTube Oh, I already am😆 I had it pointed at the moon as soon as it got dark the night I assembled it. It was HIGH overcast thin clouds and the photo I got was rubbish but it was heavenly (pun made itself perfect for this, right?) I'm in the market for a full apperture solar filter for the next eclipse or general solar observations.. Cheers🙂

Rob was right, if your phone camera is really good, it will try to make up for the low light, which makes it harder to get the eclipse, ha ha! We drove to Indiana to see it and it was spectacular. I see that you captured Venus on the right of the sun and Jupiter on the left.
