Seeing someone using a laser level at last is a breath of fresh air.. this makes it *so* much easier to see what's going on

I've been wearing SPD shoes for 20+ years, and always noticed that when i tighten the straps on my shoes, i need to pull more on the right one to have the same feeling. Sadly, there are no real good bikefitters in my area, the one i've been at didn't even look at my feet, just put one wedge under the cleats on each foot, so my hip that turns to the left (right knee closer to the frame) could turn back straight. It kinda works, but still doesn't feel right. The big toe on my right foot feels "lighter", less active when standing, jumping, etc. Maybe i will try one of these innersole wedges, just to see if it gets any better.

This has way too few views. Actual competence is so rare in this field of youtube. Well done!

Good video. I have been chasing a gremlin through a couple bike fits over the years, never was a huge issue, just noticed it. My right foot for some reason has a twist at the top of the stroke, and it seemingly turns me duck footed, then on the downstroke, I go back to straight. Tight hip most likely issue, tried addressing, still do actually. One fitter made my stance wider, which makes sense. Made it worse for some reason. Ended up with shorter cranks, and one varus wedge in shoes, and good to go. The issue is I'm not a big rider, so the wider stance was making it worse for me. Enter short cranks and a shim, now the stance is solid.

@@10ktube makes sense. Sounds like a hip issue. The foot is likely unrelated to the knee problem you described but I’m glad you got it sorted!

Im actually using the metodomes together with the correct arch support on my g8 insole. And that's a lot better for my small varus issue. The varus wedge inside the shoe is would not recommend. It is so uncomfortable

@@BradyKendall-g5u ugh sorry to hear and sorry for delay. I bet a metatarsal pad in a customized position would be the way to go! Wedges …. Maybe
