I had a terrible knot in my rhomboid ever since I picked up some heavy boxes while moving. i went to an orthopedic and a rheumatologist but none of them helped in any way. within 2 days of doing your exercises the knot is gone, and I'm speechless. thank you , thank you very much.

I've had recurring problems in this area for about 30 years. I've never had a doctor recommend anything but muscle relaxants and pain meds. After all these years the pain is so much more often till I was considering a sports doctor. But, I'm going to try these exercises first. So glad I came across this video!!!!

I’m a dancer and I dance 13 hours a week and I’m only thirteen but my spine has had lots of issues from my lower back issues but these exercises helped so much the first time I did them was so relieving in the upper back! Thank goodness this made this video!💞

Tnank you for this; I will try the exercises. For me pain does not come from sitting, but from exercising at a challenging level. Chinups have caused me chronic pain under my shoulder blade, wrapping around to the front of my rib cage. Since so many people are sitting nowadays, we're not hearing enough about injuries that can happen through moving.

I had this problem, the way I was taught was with a different technique. Find the rib on your chest that is not in uniform with the rest by touching them 1 by 1, the problematic rib will be tender and inflamed, push on that rib with your free hand and take a deep breath on hold the breath, move your arm up and down sideways. I fixed my problem within 3 seconds of doing the technique.

Hi, it's amazing. I have been suffering last 45 days with niggling pain and had to take muscle relaxant regularly to help me do my work and sleep well. Have been searching for a good exercise and believe me, its showing results after couple.of attempts. Interestingly, after doing these exercises, I am feeling that my core is getting better and feeling light in my stomach which otherwise would feel bloated. Dr. Alex, pls also suggest something for neck pain.

Interesting. I'm a physical therapist assistant who has had this issue for a few years after dealing with Lyme disease and some repetitive trauma from snowplowing with a 4 wheeler. Foam rolling in the way you suggested did help me greatly as well as incorporating similar core work once I could tolerate it. I don't recall what evidence brought me to that strategy but it did work well. Freeing up tight posterior rib hinges was what I was going for. My ribs still "slip" occasionally but the symptoms only last a couple of days and I have been able to return to weight lifting. Performing grade 4 mobs on patients are basically the only things that guarantee me symptoms as of right now.

Excellent exercises. Tried once and it felt good so it is working. Thanks Doctor, you are awesome !!!! If you are wondering about ghost move the plant at 7:13. Actually the flooring contains some type of wood laminate which is like a thin long strip and when pressure is applied on the lamination by Dr's leg it moves the plant due to vibration. Perhaps needs adhesive on some boards due to regular wear and tear of that surface.

Thank you for this video! Most informative vids are about trap pain on the same location. I have been looking for a video under the shoulder blade for years. I was a hardcore athlete battling this injury for 8 years. After my first session of these, i noticably felt better. Almost like throwing up as well. But the pain instantly vanished. Is there a modified version of the reach back for people who can't sit on their heels? I have joint problems in my knees and sitting on my heels is literally out of the question. I'd like to try these to see if they help, it's been a year of shoulder blade pain (and neck/upper arm pain when the pain spreads too much and everything seizes up) an neither my doctors nor PT know what the problem is nor have any suggested the rib joint as a culprit instead of muscles. I just get a lot of shrugs and sent to acupuncture and massage therapy, which only help for a few hours before it just goes back to being painful. Thanks for the video!

Mate iv had a pain in between my shoulder blade an spine for nearly 2 years it sends pain to the left front side of my rib and makes me think I’m having a heart attack. It feels like my breathing’s been slightly restricted aswell which sometimes causes me to panic. Iv had blood tests an ecg heart test the day it all started and again 3 week ago and everything seems normal. but for the past 6 months iv also been getting a lot of palpitations I probably have about 5 a day and the scare the absolute shit out of me as I’m feeling my heart go all out of rhythm for a few seconds. Think I’m back at my gps in a few weeks to discuss it further. I had 1 session of physiotherapy and 1 session on Chyro either did fuck all. the actual very slight niggling pain that I’m hoping the cause of all these other symptoms is about a 0.5/10 but it’s the shallow breathing ad palpitations that feels really worrying

@@realtalk9195 I guess that to see an osteopath and a neurologist would probably be better. from what you describe it sounds like a nerve is blocked or irritated. I have a very similar problem only it became bigger as it spread on the left shoulder where I discovered an impingement. a neurologist can do an ultrasound and check for outlet thoracic syndrom and check the nerve course. paresthesias feelings can cause palpitations, I had it too, now it comes just in specific positions. a stomach check is also due, as those are also symptoms of stomach problems and viruses like helicobacter. I have got better with physiotherapy, massage and rest. no exercises for my upper body until now. now I am starting with reha sport but I still have neurological visits to do, due to suspected Thoracic Outlet Syndrome.

My right rhomboid tends to flare up if I over extend my right arm in certain activities. It all started with doing a dead lift and I jerked my head up when rising that somehow activated it. So I’m hoping stretches like this can help alleviate, Athlean X also has suggestions too.

I think your assumption is different from the rest youtuber as I watched to get a solution for pain under my left shoulder which started repetitive sortation job at Amazon.
