When i fell down on my recent trip and sustained leg injury, it felt so painful that i could barely breathe for a minute. After assessing the condition of my body, Somehow I thought of you, and might have said to myself that alee would ride on. then all the worries and fear were gone. I could continue to ride, and shortly the pain didn’t bother me much and I completed my tour a few days after. It was some brilliant experience. I don’t usually comment and say things, but you’ve been such a huge inspiration to me, and i really wish for the quick recovery and good health of your mother. Hope you come to travel in Canada in the future, Alee!

Wonderful filming, wonderful route! Sorry about your mother. Hope she's soon healing. I've dropped out of cycling ( apart from very local rides when time permits ) myself these last three years to care for my mother who has dementia and is as helpless as a one year old child. Riding around the world was challenging, this is a greater challenge. Let's hope we both come out of it some day with lessons learned, greater patience and resilience, and ready to get back in the saddle and see more of this amazing planet with its amazing people and animals. Hope I haven't slighted plants inadvertently. Yes, they're amazing too.

I loved this video, having grown up at the base of Mount Baldy, I truly appreciate it. We used to ski up there as kids, play in thst creek, spent many hot summer days in San Antonio creek. I currently have an unobstructed view just steps from my doors. The ride on Glendora Ridge Road is stunning. Having lived in Glendora for 20 year, I am familiar with that road. Town is less than 5 minutes away. I was there for the Colby fire, it was terrifying, all because of a few careless Methheads. Shout of to Glendora Police Officer Nancy Miranda who spotted trouble and sounded the alarm, and apprehended the perpetuators. I have never seen such a firefighting effort. The helicopters and planes and the bravery of the firefighters doesn't go unnoticed. Every 30 seconds another aircraft flying into the darkness of smoke. Around 08:20 am the winds shifted saving our town of Glendora, a few friends homes were heavily damaged, but we survived. I recognized so many locations, riding along the arroyo seco, brought back childhood memories of me on my bicycle. I will say prayers for your mother and your entire family. Thank you for sharing. 🙏🙏💛🚴♂️🚴♀️. There was a trail camera bear where you camped in Glendora a hot spot for mountain lions, bears, coyotes and rattle snakes, etc. So glad you haf safe travels.

I have always enjoyed your channel Alee, one of the best channels on KZbin with incredibly high quality content. I hope you and Laura make a good future together as she's really so nice natured and enthusiastic, fit and healthy, and I know how hard it must be to follow your cycling passion and a family life, I hope she's up to it. I had to chuckle at Lauras attempts at pushing on her bars dismounted up those tricky hills. Does her bike have a steering lock? Would it be easier to push from the back with the steering locked. Another of my interest is mudfossils and it got me wondering what those rocks perhaps once were. Yes, I try to look for what was once biology in our rocks. Wishing you both all the best and please accept my small donation toward your equipment costs.

Such an incredible film with outstanding quality and content! The kind of video that leaves the viewer hoping for more. The "more" I would love to see is a view of the logistics behind this journey. Distance per day, water sources, camping conditions etc. As a simple viewer some of these films can appear so polished that one can be forgiven if they believe there must be a support team behind them to prop up the image presented. I doubt this in your case but many like me would love to see the details.

Leaving to head south from Seattle in 2 weeks, with the first goal being Cancun Mexico, then deciding to either stop and live there, go to Caribbean, or continue bikepacking into South America and ultimately either Brazil or Chile… After I’m south of the cold weather, I’ll have to check this area out instead of rushing for the border. Only thing about the trip I’m scared about is finding food, I’m doing this with very little cash to start. So wish me luck.
