I'm a cyclist and this cyclist if their not brown bread there I'll be shocked. They even went on the wrong side of road on one of their turns. The bus will have Camera's and hopefully the driver was okay. This cyclist I don't feel sorry for not them the leastest. If their bike was smashed up but just a few really bad cuts and broken bones at leat the idiot is off the road for a while. But if they're still riding like that it's only a matter of time before they meet their maker. This should be a warning to all those who ride like this. The way it ended I think they died. If you're a cyclist don't ride like this. Just don't think of your family and friends. They'll still want you around not squashed by a bus. And think of the driver who killed you. They'll have to live with that all their life.

There are enough red light offences in that video to have his driving licence revoked several times over , and ideally a jail sentence for flagrant disregard of the rules of the road - each single instance is worth a minimum of three points on his licence ( and yes you CAN lose your driving licence for offences committed on a bicycle ) - even if you don't have a licence , DVLA will create one just for you and apply the points to it before you are ever able to use it . This foreign sounding person is not someone we want on our roads , so if he is visiting the UK , sending him back to his native country would be appropriate , so that he can ignore the traffic laws there . Besides the red light offences , he ignored pedestrians on crossings and narrowly missed so many vehicles , with the potential to cause crashes . Fortunately , few cyclists are quite as bad as this individual - hopefully he will be traced from this account and dealt with as an example to others .

I dont know if this is fake or not but, this is a real problem, cyclists want car drivers to see them as another vehicle on the road, treating them the same way as you would a car driver, yet the cyclists don't want to behave like another vehicle on the road. I have had cyclists ride across my path, at night, bike was black the rider was in black, no lights. I only noticed him when I passed him, lucky I didn't hit him.

The guy in this video is a special case, most cyclists aren't like this fortunately. The thing is cyclists aren't using the roads by the good grace of motorists. They belong on the roads, and indeed legally have more right to be there than motorists who need to be licensed to be there. The other thing is that motorists break the rules at least as often as cyclists. The vast majority of drivers regularly speed. Jumping the lights is just as prevalent amongst drivers as cyclists. Everybody should follow the rules, but cyclists are always singled out for their rulebreaking.

Since the beginning of May on my walk to/from work I have been noting the proportion of drivers rule breaking compared to the proportion of cyclists rule breaking (the rules being the Highway Code). According to my stats cyclists are about 3.6 times more likely to rule break than drivers. It's not just that cyclists are being singled out for rule breaking - they are more likely to do it than drivers.

My argument for compulsary training: the footage doesnt show whether the rider was a foreign student , possibly quite accustomed to riding against the flow of traffic in any space which might be empty with no traffic rules whatsoever. I live in Cambridge which is very cyclist oriented and also victim of many student cyclists from counries with few rules and laws. This rider might not have even known that they were breaking laws and guidelines.

I ride a motorcycle and see bicyclist ignore traffic lights, stop signs, and weave in traffic all the time. I always honk before I pass them since one decided to make a left from right lane's curg into a parking lot. I manage to avoid hitting him by less than a foot, but the 510 lb motorcycle with it's 200 lb rider would have flattened his spandex. If I hit the fool, after I got up off the pavement, picked up by bike to check it, determine if I was injured, I would be pissed.
