His World Championship gold medal in the USA. (2013) A lot of people (including myself) were saying that he was too old to perform on the highest level and that he had no chance of winning. And yet he proved us all wrong.

As a belgian,, I'm very proud we have such amazing cyclists and living icons like Sven Nys. Jeremy and the GCN team did an amazing job to portrait someone that does so much for the sports. LOVE IT!

As a school teacher and a long time Sven Nys fan I've never felt closer to a pro-cyclist. I can completely relate to his desire to pass on what he knows to the next generation. There is something truly satisfying to passing on knowledge to the next generation. Kudos to you Sven (and J-Pow).

As a native Belgian, it's so funny to continuously hear Jeremy butcher Sven's name. Nys is pronounced like the English word 'ace' with an n in front of it. Other than that minor detail, a very good video from GCN!

I’ve been on that course and I think the coolest part is that there’s a restaurant on the course. Well, the coolest part of the course is that you can also ride part of the pro course with its long descent wheeeee!

Not a win, but a very memorable moment was when Sven Nys gave up his second place in the general classification at the 2012 Azencross to stop and confront a spectator who was throwing beer at him each lap for a total of 7 laps. He could have snapped, but didn’t. Great sportmanship.
