What a heroic/unfortunate race Verschueren rode! I guess she doesn't have the body mass to be fast off at the start, but she usually comes through the field. Sanne Cant, who to do her justice, competes tenaciously, could perhaps have shown a bit more grace at the end. The crowd were cheering Verschueren on, so maybe there was a touch of 'me nevertheless' about it. Even so ... but one can never tell with Belgian rivalries.
