I'm glad I went for the Mezco Cyclops over the Mafex one, it looked way better in the promos and whilst Mezco is its own take, I like their unique design

I had the option a couple weeks back to either get a $40 Mafex or $40 Mezco Cyclops (no jacket). I went with Mezco and thought I'd regret it. I took up sewing and changed his suit to the usual blue. Loving it. It's just like the Mafex but with light up feature!

I love the legends one, i prefer the skinnier look, but damn, in accesories mezco/mafex are great. If the legends one comes with an angry face it would be perfect

I sold my Warlock wave Cyclops after the Mafex one went on pre-order...before the value dropped more. Plus, I have the Love Triangle one, so I'm good on a Legends Cyclops. I love everything more about the Mafex, except I give it to Hasbro for the headsculpt. The hair in particular is nicer. Plus the Mafex has two different yellows for the visor.

I came a bit late to watch this video but it's exactly what I needed... HUGE THANK YOU!!!! I've been wondering for days which one to buy. Although I like the mafex buffed cyclops, and probably the ML with no vest is better in terms of muscles, all the accessories in the mezco one made me want to buy it. Plus the mezco one lights up, which is a super cool feature the others don't have. I like that Mezco comes with the jacket to put on and take off, and yeah maybe we can't see the muscles but I'm honestly fine with that. I like that you got trunks for it. I'll probably just cut off a yellow balloon and use them as trunks lol. Thanks again for making this vid. I'm def subscribing to this channel now :)

I do dig the proportions better on the Mafex. I like how the belts sits in the proper place...at the top of the trunks. It'd be nice if they had a little bit more of a neck though. And they really captured the animated series/Marvel vs Capcom look. Makes you wonder why they didn't make Wolverine bulkier. I mean Cyclops looks like a beast compared to them. Even more crazy when you put the Mafex Venom next to them.

I agree I wanted the venom and carnage but them not having open mouths really bothers me lol and amazing yamaguchi nailed both venom and carnage in my opinion.

MAFEX is a mix of the comic and the Marvel vs Capcom look. Cyclops is very buff in the MvC games.

Absolutely. Plus, I see the animated series look in there too. My whole thing is collecting these and the Figuarts Street Fighter figures to have a big Marvel vs Capcom shelf. They got this symbiotic relationship goin on. The more I get of one, the more I want the other.

ShowNuffDaKing storm collectibles are more like 7” scale which is more of less 1/10 scale. Even tho they market them as 1/12... kinda like mezco which is more 6” than 1/12. Lol

I agree if you pick up a pair of yellow trunks its definitely worth it people seem to forget how important effects are now a days and mezco nailed it with the lights and beam effects.

It's like, what's the point with that tiny optic blast from Mafex lol. The larger one should've been the small one, then had one similar to the Mezco, or sculpted like it's hitting a target. 15:42 - Nice...now that you framed it like that, it doesn't look so usless after all.

I actually like the smaller optic blast. Cyclops regularly changes the intensity of his optic blasts in the comic depending on the situation, so I think the small optic blast could be useful for a lot of stop motion and ACBA situation.

IMO I don’t like how ML has the knee and leg wrappers..it looks ridiculous how they have to be so high up above the knees to fit properly. Mafex nailed the sculpting of both knee and leg wrappers . So I understand how people prefer the ML ( btw I own the ML Cyclops) but I don’t think it’s the best as terms of capturing the accurate look for the Lee version or the 90s cartoon look as a whole. The Mezco is a stylized take on Cyclops so it was never meant to be compared too the others. I still think Mafex is the best out of the three in terms of actual accuracy.

The mafex figure has no traps, sloppy paint for an expensive figure. Made a is so up and down. I cancelled my order for mafex, bought the 3 pack Cyclops off eBay and ordered the pxmezco Cyclops. Mafex Cyclops down the line

The body issues didn't really bother me to be honest I didn't even notice his traps or long arms I know reviewer's like Anthony customs had huge issues with stuff like that but in my eyes it's not a factor at all I will say that the joints being a different shade of blue is a big issue for me it just looks lazy

@@ShowNuffDaKing the mafex arm is slightly longer than usual, but you have to pose it right as well. In his review he pulled it way down and says "omfg look at his arms" in order to draw views from his viewer to agree with him. also, some people have bigger trap muscle than others.they don't have to be the same or standards just because someone said so. In his wolverine review he said the butterfly joint didn't need to be cut to the stripe, but one photo from my IG easily proved him wrong. and then he reacted like a child saying "thanks for proving him right" ... ?? lol... that guy's got serious issues. i'm just surprised the amount of people that actually praise him. Not to mention he also has one of the slowest growing channel (with only gained about 3k subs in about 2-3 years) with his large amount of subs, he should have at least 3x the views per video, but he doesn't which speaks for the actual quality bias of his review.

That’s because cyclops wears the belt pretty high. It’s an optical illusion when it comes to figure form. His torso ends at the bottom of the belt actually.

Mafex is the best cyclops and pair with the love triangle 3-pack wolverine is the best in my opinion.

Mezco has better effects and the head also looks very cool. BUT, the fabric hides all the his muscles. It's more to a real one cyclops than the 90's tv show. Mafex is really better.

I like the review but I’m giving it to the marvel legends ! I do appreciate the other ones having the effects which makes them pretty awesome and almost worth the price .
