arrived today...set up was a cinch. the included cassette would not jive with my der. I swapped in my own cassette and I was off to a Zwift race. Everything felt good....lots of side to side movement from the legs (by design)...super quiet. so far I'm happy with it

I ordered one. The coupon worked T2OFF the magnet resistance and the design of the unit are what sold me. I'll post once it's arrived, and I've ridden it. Coming off 18 years on a computrainer.

Hmm, that looks interesting... I'll add it to my list, in case of my current HT goes wrong. Nice to hear that they are still working on solving the problems, that is a big selling (or buying) point for me. So many manufacturers just ignore their clients, once the product has been sold...

Sounds like he had a frustrating experience with them. I would be too if I had to go through four units. But as a reviewer, I can only report on my own experience which was overall positive with the unit I received. That’s the beauty of having multiple reviewers out there.

My only concern is longevity of a new product from a new(er) company. They really need to undercut the big players to have exposure, say $700 for the trainer.

Can I connect my Garmin watch to CYCPLUS T2 Smart Bike Trainer and rouvy app?
@kauahroque6 ай бұрын
recive it yesterday and in ERG mode on Zwift it goes around +/- 15 to 20 watts, intervals really don’t feel that smooth compared to real life any suggestions to what i should do?

Strictly for Zwift racing...as that is all I'm doing on my smart trainer...how is the T2 compared to the Kicker? You mention the T2 has difficulty in hills with the virtual fly wheel slipping...is this only on steep hills? What gradient? I just canceled my order for a kicker as there seems to be many people who burn through them after a year or so which I believe is the reason Wahoo has so many refurbished units. I'm willing to give Cycplus a chance as the virtual fly wheel looks interesting, the side to side play looks good and the weight and footprint of the trainer looks good. My biggest concerns are road feel and durability.
@SmartBikeTrainers2 жыл бұрын
I noticed the gradient issue at around 8%+. You can always drop the difficulty level too to 50% or so to avoid this issue all together if you don’t care much about feeling the full effect of climbs.

Regarding the downhill inertia - does it actually drive the flywheel on downhills or just remove all resistance to the flywheel? The website seems to state that it removes resistance: "When plugged in, the BLDC motor in the Cycplus T2 eliminates frictional resistance, simulating greater mass inertia, bringing a more realistic downhill experience."
@SmartBikeTrainers2 жыл бұрын
I can’t imagine this is the result of just eliminating the frictional resistance because it could spin for hours.

How does this compare to a Whoo Kicker?
@SmartBikeTrainers2 жыл бұрын
They differ in few areas. The Kickr supports more power and incline. The kickr handles climbs a little better as well and have two additional Bluetooth channels which is useful if you want to connect to multiple apps using Bluetooth and gives you a better trouble free experience if using Bluetooth. The CYCPLUS uses a different flywheel technology that is somewhat similar to the Tacx NEO and it’s lighter weight and doesn’t require power to operate.
@timchau65432 жыл бұрын
compared with NEO-2T, for climbing, which one is better?
@SmartBikeTrainers2 жыл бұрын
The NEO 2T doesn’t have the wheel slippage issue this one has when climbing.

@@SmartBikeTrainers I did as well. It is 1 year. I really want to give these guys a shot...It's a very interesting combination of features. Just a little worried about it being based in China and factory direct....my computrainer will no longer synch with Zwift..it was a good 17 years but time for a new trainer

Watched his video this morning and his experience is interesting for sure. I have tested the unit I received extensively for months and didn’t experience his problems other than the wheel slippage which I mentioned and original erg issue I encountered which they fixed with a firmware update. Will have to bring it back to the pain cave to see if I can replicate the issues he encountered. This is a good example why it is good to watch multiple reviews of the same product.

@@SmartBikeTrainers yeah would be nice to see that shane's was a fluke , cause in the end it would be for the better as us consumers to have more competition and they lowering prices.

@@victorlwd other than low power readings...mine has been great. I'll contact the company and see if there is any way to fix the calibration but if you are using an on-bike power meter like I am it doesn't really matter. I have no regrets as of yet.
