My God, I'm simply captivated! This performance makes me think of the title "crouching tiger, hidden dragon". Not the movie, just the title. I think it describes this dance perfectly. Very powerful and alluring yet mysterious. This woman has talent!

Cyd Charisse had been nicknamed : "The legs". And 'the most valuable legs' in the Guinness book of World records. Her legs insured : 5 million$... So talented, much elegance.. For me, Cyd had a formidable sense of rhythm !! She was really Artistically wonderful. She fills the screen.. she steals the show. I still like to see this old video, thnx for sharing~

The twentieth century gave us Cyd Charisse. And with the twenty first, what do we get?....Lady bloody Ga Ga! So much for evolution. The way we're going we'll be back on all fours by the twenty second! I know who'll be remembered though.

Take that, Jack Cole! Another great number for Cyd is in an Esther Williams and Ricardo Montalban movie about a tropical island. You won't believe what she does there!

Not bad for a dancer who fought off polio as a child, and through mental determination and acute pain, fulfilled her dream to dance. Cyd was a one off.

Girlfriend could throw down!! And the tanned, impossibly well-toned legs are impossible to take one's eyes off of. Thanks for this.

the rigidity of her waist only makes her dancing classier and brings focus to her more than perfect legs

Robert Sidney was one of the major studio choreographers, and he might have directed. He was not as much of a celebrity.

@heyyouube11111 I think Michael would have faired better with a professional. The only videos that I remember him dancing with someone is Remember The Time and Blood on the Dance Floor. I wouldn't exactly call what he and Naomi did dancing.

An insult towards this dance is an insult towards her memory. Just don't. She could walk all over So You Think You Can Dance. It is a big deal.
